happy birthday fellas. How old are you davelewis? A whopping 60!!!! I'm a big Who fan, from back in the day. I used to sing," I hope I die before I get old", now I have changed the wording to "I hope I die before I'm too old".

My father is turning 70 in May and his 60's has probably been one of his most fruitful decades. He became a grandfather, travelled more in those 10 years than in his whole life up to that point (Europe, NYC, Mexico, Alaskan Cruise, etc..), started a business with me and my bro, and just finished a beautiful remodel on his house. He still shows up to the shop and turns wrenches 4 days a week with my bro and gets his hands dirty. He's pushing 70 and he can run circles around any young punk these days in a shop, including me!! . So cheers to your 60s davelewis and may they be fruitful.

We're joking - it's others that make me feel like I should just die already. My Dad is 80 next month. He gets up every day at 4AM and does all the chores, including building out fences with 2' deep 6" posts in the ground. Still walks or jogs at least 5 miles a day, and only stopped running ling distance a bout three years back after having his shoulder replaced (damaged from running jack-hammers in the copper mines as a kid for 12 hours a day). I just pulled out an Adidas poster he was on in the 80's. My old man wasn't the greatest father, but he was and is an amazing human. I think the worst thing that happens to older folks is younger folks treat you like you don't matter.

You have to keep on doing the things you love to do, and be on the lookout for new things to try. I'll put my money on a 70-80 year old, who is active anyday, over a 40-50 year old that is eating themselves to death, taking a bag full of medicines, playing video games, in his mothers basement. Don't laugh, I used to see this many times responding to aid calls. Its more prevelent out there than you'd believe! ps. I hope I didn't offend anyone, but didn't think anyone here buying raw denim, would be living in his mothers basement.

My buddy is 27 still living in his parents basement with his girlfriend. I can't imagine it's a good thing. Must be awkward as hell.
Age is a number my dad is 67 and still lifts with me weekly my gf's dad is the same age and runs 10+ miles a week. I'm sure we have a seen the 40-50yo with horrible health. Overweight, alcohol, and/or drugs.
Shocking to see 40 something's drop dead because of their life of boozing it hard.
