I just got one; did you just wear it every day, or did you treat it with neatsfoot or obenauf's or anything?

Aside from that, it's all normal wear. It's beautiful, soft and supple now compared to the thick inflexible strap it used to be.

On a side note I have a heavyweight veg tan belt and it is not that dark at all. Darker than the start but not close to that. Sunlight darkens veg tanned leather and oils like the LP's or mink oil etc.

I use the Marshdown's for lighter weight denim. Once he makes a heavy black belt, I'm in again!

Here's my 12-13 year old buffalo hide belt handmade by RO Brooks Leather in Bozeman, MT. I've worn this thing nearly daily in that time frame, at least 3,000 wears.

@untucked that heavyweight belt is a natural veg tan belt??!? 6 months?! That's the quickest I've ever seen a natural tan belt get that dark, that's insane. Mine that I've had for over a year isn't that dark, but then again I didn't treat mine with anything.

That's just lovely, Diggy. Sometimes I wish I still lived in a climate that would warrant owning a coat like that.

Drivers license, credit card, no cash. I have always liked traveling light, when there is the possibility of drinking heavy.
