I started wearing selvedge jeans for about a year now. I have a few Gustin jeans and UB. I'm looking to step it up; however, I don't want to spend $200 on a pair of jeans. I'd rather get me some more Red Wing boots.

Hello everyone. I'm new the selvage game. I went from wearing Levi's 511 and polo Hampton straight fits to Levi's selvedge 511 slims. I recently got 4 pairs. So far a week in with 1 pair. Love how they fit, but I noticed that it has gotten a bit lose on my thighs.

Love how they fit, but I noticed that it has gotten a bit lose on my thighs. Welcome, Some have had success buy hot soaking the top only. I've tried that. Seemed to work, but I noticed today that the 511 has loosened up a bit (which is fine), but I might just do a first soak and use a little woolite dark and hang dry them.  I uploaded the pair of 511 slim selvedge that I got from Levi's. I purchased 2 of the same pairs. Plus 2 raw selvedge 511 slims. Love how they look and fit. Just need to make sure not to over where them. Lol |

Hello everybody,
Glad to have found the community as vintage clothes and workwear have been a passion of mine so it's cool to see how many other people love the same kind of stuff. I was refered to this site by some industry friends because my families business is making custom clothes, I have been focusing on custom jeans the last few years and have been preparing to open the doors to my downtown LA jeans factory to the public for custom jeans. My pops is a custom shirt maker and I was refered to this site because though it seems like everyone is making jeans now, shirt makers are increasingly hard to find but there are still people who are doing the shirts themselves. Relevant fun fact: when my dad was starting out in Portland to make money to go to school he worked as a sample maker for Pendleton making their flannels from 77-79... back when all there stuff was made in america lolol
