Hey everyone! Took me awhile to finally make an account as someone from the old Gustin forums told me about this place a long time ago but never got around to it til now. Was active on the Gustin forums for awhile and spent way too much money with them. Good to see a lot of familiar faces here though. Good to "see" you again dude! Welcome, have fun, and stay away from ickes!!!

Forgive me man but I can't recall your username from the Gustin forums, my memory isn't the best, but glad to have you over here and I assure you there is no need to stay away from me

I was the guy who lost his four pairs of Kickstarter jeans (I actually found them a few months ago). You'll see what my impressive inventory is like when you see my for sale list :/

Welcome, pmmmm00 !!! Hope you have fun here. The usual warning is to hide your wallet. There are some characters here that will take the food from your kid's mouths. Resist, but not too much!

Hello all, I run Paleo Denim here in Austin Texas. It's a (mostly) one man brand. I started as a hobbyist about eight years ago and I thought I'd start sharing process and product pictures here if y'all were interested. My focus is 5 pocket jeans however I have jackets in the works and occasionally return to leather work. I like the end product but I really love the production process and the technical side of things, throw any questions you may have my way. Mods - please let me know if there are any special rules for industry members.

dick Welcome! Glad you found us and look forward to your input. You'll find that many of us have a bigger collection of denim then we need and now are looking for unique, Grail, must haves. But we seem to be getting new members all the time. Hope to see you fill the needs/wants of many here.

drewcandraw and DigDug thanks for the welcome. The pair on the flag is not the first pair ever, it may be the last pair I ever made when I still had a single needle process. I cheated and hemmed them with my Union Special before putting the flag together. This pair is the first pair, which I only retired recently from work pant duty. Perhaps there's another sub-forum I should start a thread to tell the whole story?

Welcome dick We welcome new brands, especially small shops. We don't mind brands starting a thread in here just as long as they are not just spamming. selvedgestyle.com/board/4/brands

Hi All, just discovered this forum and signed up immediately due to interest in traditional and vintage clothing. I don't own any Gustin, but I expect that to change soon, as I like their business model and I've heard good things.

You will definitely hear things about Gustin on this forum (good, bad, and the ugly). Enjoy

Ha, no not here, just started reading a bit and have been looking at Gustin, since I think the straight fit might work for me. I've also heard grumblings about their quality control elsewhere, and wanted to find out more before I start buying stuff. Wallet is safe for now...

Thanks for the great content guys. I found the forum about a month back and have been stoked about discovering new to me brands--both North American and Japanese.
My progression: Bonobos (un-tucked button downs and khakis), Huckberry--which introduced me to Taylor Stitch (blown away by the type/quality of the fabric and the look of the pattern/cut on my frame--utility shirt in cone mills, democratic chinos, and Yosemite shirt really stood out) and Proof NY, Freenote Cloth (great light summer fabric on the Lancaster), Corridor (love the chunky raised neps on their "vintage" flannel) D'Artisan (50% cotton 50% poly blend retro flannels look flipping bad ass and their size L fits nice) Samurai Jeans (funky plaid colored flannels--fit is off a skosh), Iron Heart (ihsh-129 blue enroute).
Slippery slope indeed, but paying extra for a very noticeable improvement on substantive quality is a no brainer once you feel and see the difference. I am fortunate to have blueowl very close by and will go there to improve my denim game shortly (currently enjoying Freenote Cloths rios slim straight 13.5 cone mills)
Thanks for making this a much faster progression, its been fun finding "my style".
Oh, and I have the SS anniversary 20oz Cianos on order with indian head coin buttons!!

Welcome disheveled . How do you have a 129 en route? Thanks to your kind enabling I ordered it from R. Bros rakuten just this AM. Confirmation was almost entirely in Japanese and my PayPal hasn't invoiced--that combined with your question leaves me wondering if it is indeed "en route" lol I wanted to check out the brand and thought it wise to do so sooner than later in case the rakuten well does run dry.
