DigDug unwittingly introduced me to this company like just right now, www.guideboat.com And I'm considering ending my 90 day no spend on day 2 on their CPO. I'm going to guess that none of you guys have any experience with this company? If you do, I'm all ears to how good this company is because I'm actually looking to buy a few of their outerwear choices. Really like this one as well: And of course the one he put up on GComm:

I'm interested in which company actually makes the French Chore Coat (the brown wool) and that Navy CPO up there.

Did any of you guys find a fit guide for Guideboat? Couldn't find any. But like the CPO is made by fidelis so you can go to their site and get the fit chart.

If you must have the CPO, search for Fidelity CPO and you'll find better prices (unless the labels on the inside are how you derive value).

I like the French chore jackets they look a little like a chore jacket and a blazer. Like you could go to work but will problably end up at the pub with friends. I have a nice filson wool jacket, but its a Seattle fit and a bit snug. This Le Laboureur Raw Wool may be a good work jacket for me. I'd love to see LD or Gustin offer one in Wool, MoleSkin, Canvas.

I get regular e-mails from Guideboat, and from what I've seen, they sell some great stuff. I find it annoying they don't have size charts, and have never bought anything from them. The Fidelity CPO is heavy at 22oz, and for me is too heavy for a shirt, but would be great as an overshirt/jacket.

I have the CPO shirt above and it runs slim. I wear Gustin medium and cannot layer another shirt underneath the CPO shirt in medium.

Fidelis runs odds buying navy surplus is a great bargin. 22oz wool is sweet. They really are made to be over shirts.

I picked up their field shirt on clearance $65 -30%. The code has expired but they'll have another one soon. I love the shirt, made in Portugal out of Japanese fabric. The fit works well for me although too long to wear untucked. Construction is top notch, Nice buttons, the Panama cloth is very nice, a mid weight with a loose weave that should help keep it cool.
