Nice thick leather and no defects that im really bothered with. Leather laces are thicker than most. The boots will need a little break in, but decent out of the box.:

I'm thinking of getting a pair of their "work oxfords" which are actually derbies. As far as I can tell you can just call them up/email them and tell them what kind of leather you'd like and what sort of sole you want and they'll make it up only upcharging for materials.

They're also a lot cheaper than dovers from Alden with the CAD/USD as it is right now.
