Just came in the mail today... Maybe you jerks all have these, but I haven't been around Seen some brah do this in Gustonia during my quarterly review...but his was brown i know how the jerks always want purple weft so I ordered dye and it finally showed up today. I wanted to make my pima cone fires wearable and not look like an "affliction bro"...but now...they are just purple jeans. (Edit: shown with american orange ID for colour comparison) They also shrunk a bit with all the hot water oh yeah, I also got fatter. Essayons!

I did! Got the idea from another brah that did brown. He recommended Rit dye. I got an 8 ounce bottle of liquid dye from amazon for about $3.20. The entire process took about an hour and was annoying. Hot water, half cup of salt, most of the bottle into a bucket. Put jeans in. Stir constantly (the instructions stress that) for 30 minutes to an hour (I think I did just under 30 minutes). Rinse until the water goes clear...that last part was the worst. I don't think it was ever going to go clear. I literally rinsed them for about 20 minutes. Then started filling the bucket with warm water and agitating them till the water got real cloudy, then I would dump and repeat. After a few times of that, they stopped bleeding purple and were bleeding more of an indigo colour. Not sure if I was effing up the blue by this point. After that, throw them in a warm wash with detergent (as per instructions). I don't know how long it will last or anything, but the results were interesting thus far. I also got brown and grey dyes in case the purple annoyed me...but I don't feel like going through that process to shift it to grey just yet. One day, I will wear them out and about and see how they look in the sun...purple jeans might get some odd looks. Who knows, maybe the Japanese broads will say, "sugoi!"
Either way, it was cheap, didn't really take too long and you can see the results there. I didn't mind stirring a scalding bucket of dye, but the rinsing was just obnoxious for some reason. Also wear gloves and the paranoia of staining other objects in the house will also make the process less fun.

and then, I seen some brah dye his jeans with persimmons tannins! Had I known that was an option (don't know why i didn't), I would have done that. Next plan, wait for the locals to get back to the office from Holiday break. Ask them where I can find this kakishibu here on Okinawa. If not, get one of them to order from Japamazon...or something. By then, my lawless jawns should have arrived (been in the postal office wringer for a few weeks now) and I can determine if they are a company I should continue to invest in. If so, order some of the N-gines with supposed kickstarter discount for the sole purpose of dying them with this kakishibu. Oh man, that plan takes forever, but I have no choice. Essayons, denim brahs...essayons.
P.S. Damn you enablers...damn you and your fascinating ideas.
This is an informative show I watch here. The host is weird and has horrible fashion sense. Also, his slow talking british voice makes me angry...but the whole series is good for the learning. Ok, he isn't dressed like a total jerk in this episode, but I hate the whole top button without a tie.
