Ok. Now I've seen it all. "Professional pencil sharpener" he can't even supply the pencil for $12.50. Good luck!

Ummm yeah, That's some fancy whittlin' there son I'm with 61scout on this one, you'd think he'd throw in a Ticonderoga at least, but, you DO get a nice certificate of sharpening Maybe I'm just old, and practical, but I find this hilarious. Nothing wrong with it, as I suppose some folks take their pencils seriously. I love pencils, used them all my life..but me, personally... I'd rather have an artisanal shoe shine Hope I'm not offending any pencil people out there, I just don't get it

I have so many offensive, colorful explicatives to use in describing the last 6mins of my life...
That's some pure, unadulterated OCD right there. $12?!?! I would rather buy 50 ($10) chicken nuggets from McDonald's, soak them in a bottle of rubbing alcohol ($1), set them on fire with a lighter ($1) and then eat them one by one, than wasting it on this malarkey!

I would have to guess this is a joke but I'll be, he has a website and the Paypal actually works. It is $40 for a sharpened pencil mailed to you. Crazy. www.artisanalpencilsharpening.com/

the pencil in the video is a repro (forget workwear repros...) of a discontinued kind of pencil called a blackwing 602, but this current brand called palomino started making blackwing pencils again. you should read the stuff people write about these pencils. it's like da vinci died and went to heaven, and spent a million years scrutinising the design of pencils they used in heaven, and then came back to life and engineered these pencils. 500 years later, some amazing hipster was sipping on their single origin cold pressed ristretto and managed to stumble across this pencil. they then used it to cure cancer and mailed that same pencil to david rees. david rees artisanally sharpened the pencil and miraculously and perfectly recreated the entire works of rembrandt in a single sitting without the pencil even needing another artisanal sharpen. david rees then travelled back in time and collaborated with percy bysshe shelley to write about the experience. it is LITERALLY just like that.
