I received the #74 1960s off the stock store recently and wanted to drop a review on them. Overall, I really like them. I don’t really want the beautiful dark indigo to wash out or fade too much.
Here’s the jeans on Gustin’s site for reference:

Color
The color is a nice, dark indigo. In some areas, it almost looks like the fabric was batch dipped in dye – it wasn’t because the white weft comes through nicely – but there are “patches” of thick indigo that gives the fabric a very slight blotchiness, which I rather like. The color is quite a bit darker than the pictures on Gustin’s site. However, when in bright sunlight, the color brightens up – still not as bright as Gusin’s pictures, but it is closer at that point. Also, I noticed while taking pictures that the fabric photographs as a rich navy blue – at least on my phone – I had to work with the saturation levels to get the color closer to real life.
Weight & Feel
The 1960s are 12oz denim and definitely feel a bit lighter than what I prefer, but they are a good weight. These are the least starched raw denim that I have. They have a slight starchiness to them, but when I first put them on, they felt like I had been wearing them for a while. They were soft and immediately comfortable.
Fit
I’m still trying to find my perfect fit in Gustins, which seems to be a little different since different denims sew up slightly different. These are almost perfect for me. The top block is just right, but the waist is probably ½” smaller than I prefer. I’m sure it’ll stretch out in time, but the waist cuts into me while I’m sitting, which is pretty uncomfortable. The knees and legs are perfect for me (I don’t like clingingly tight jeans) and my boots don’t look odd or with these jeans. The rise is a bit higher than I prefer. I may have to try a pair of slims next time for the lower rise.
Other
This is an artifact of Gustin’s style, but the front pockets are too shallow and the openings are too tight. The back pockets are perfect.
