I have an apolis indigo chore coat and it is one of my favorite go to pieces. I'll have to post s picture of it sometime soon as I've put some miles on it. This led me to search out their CPO. I was unsure how they would work in my rotation but just snatched a badass new one for $46 shipped off eBay! I also have some chinos I got off GILT a few months are good cut that is in between G slim and straight. I prefer G slim but these are nice.

For anyone that has the indigo wool chore coat (or any other indigo wool items from Apolis); how badly does it dry bleed? I'd tend to be wearing chambrays/ocbd and am a bit wary. Would it be worth soaking the jacket prior?

it's a tough fader. not any noticeable transfer on my end and i've worn it with lighter colored shirts.

I've had mine for about 2 years and I don't remember any transfer. I'll post some pictures later. Mine has a decent fade going.

Apolis wool CPO is now in olive. If I hadn't already ordered a greenish one from Gustin, it would be mine.

Well, it's Melton wool, so if you don't mind the itchy, you can probably go with just a tee under it. I'll usually toss it on over a henley, a thermal or a button-down/tee combo. It's a good layer in the winter and I bought mine sized up so I can run it as a shirt-jack in the fall/spring. Temps higher than 50F/10C and it might get a little warm. YMMV. |
