goon there's a thread about a special make of jeans by CF specifically made for the forum. They have a 20oz indigo that needs some more backing to push it forward

Got my dark brown 18oz canvas chinos in today, woof, they are punishing my hip bones right now.
Super solid and dense fabric, like wearing a cardboard tube around my legs. Not starchy, just beefy.
I sized the same as my Wabash from Ciano but due to the heavier weight they sewed up smaller. They fit, just snug. Esp on the thighs and the rear rise, noticeably different. More akin to the Wabash after a wash and dry.
My recommendation is to go for the straight fit in the same size or size up one from your normal straight size for these.
He didn't do the rear pocket corozo buttons like I requested, but it's probably a good thing. I almost broke both of my hands trying to unbutton the fly
Great stuff @ciano, I can't wait to order a pair of the lighter canvas chinos (or get that 12oz indigo selvedege&style duck back in, those are sick)

The 18oz will stretch out the same as the 12s, but will take a lot more work to get there. That said, I personally wouldn't want to size up.

Cheers Ciano

I've been breaking in my 23oz indigos. Almost 2 months of decent wear. Probably 150-200 total hours of wear. They are starting to get nice fades and I believe they will look amazing. They are the limit of my tolerance and won't go through it again. Probably 20-21oz will be the max. And o second rdpoe, definitely feel it on my hips with extra space. Still love them.

Got my custom 23oz Indigos from ciano today! Ordered them in January
They have a thick veg tan patch like my Gustin j21s, and lots of other nice details like "signature taped seams," half lined back pockets, hidden rivets, and a selvedge coin pocket. Another big plus is that I can actually use the front pockets!
Starch is pretty thick. I ordered them to fit like comfy skinny jeans. Behind my knees feels like something mean. I should have ordered a bigger back rise yet I can dig my plumber's crack. The only measurement out of spec were the thighs by about 1/2 an inch under (ordered 11 7/8", and measured 11 1/4"). Not a big deal to me because I wanted skinny jeans and they still fit fine. It could be I'm just bad at measuring thighs tho. The cuffs are in spec that were out of spec on the fit sample.
Overall 10/10. Love em.

I remeasured the thighs and 11 1/2" when I stretch em the tightest so actually pretty close to in spec. Thanks Benjamin
No the 23oz do not stand up on their own. I personally can't tell the difference between 21 and 23 Oz yet.
I'm pretty tall and lanky. I've been biking less because I don't want bigger thighs. I couldn't go any tighter than 11 1/2" thighs without causing pain. I could lose 15 lbs tho as soon as I cut back on carbs and beer

Is the ciano kojima the same fabric than G okayama standard? Looks pretty much the same on the small pictures. Does annonce has informations on it (mill, Cotton...)?

anyone happen to have any pics of the CF Garrison style chino. It measures a little different and im having trouble visualizing what the CF wbsite refers to as a "40s style." Color and size does not matter, just trying to see what it looks like and decide between a standard 905 chino and the garrison. Thanks
There is a green pair on the ready to wear section, but the pics doent give an overall view....

I'm no help, but this is all I can see. the denim in the Garrison sample is pretty great. Also, it doesn't take much sense to realize one shouldn't wear a lime green shirt with them and with that it's pretty easy to avoid the Mr Green Jeans look. You've gotta branch that mind out a bit.
