I would have to agree with exophobe 's sentiments. I have 8-10 shirts and 6 denim that are in somewhat regular rotation. I'm one of the few (many?) who the fit of the shirts work well with (I've been fortunate with the options I've backed). It's a solid American option. Having my duffel V1 has easily been my most traveled bag - complete with one round of shoulder strap repairs. That said, Gustin serves its purpose - a gateway drug to other higher-end options. And I think that's where the snarkiness/frustration may lie with most - Gustin has a lot of opportunities to hit homeruns with new drops. Sometimes they do, but generally, it feels like they are careless (copy and paste descriptions, questionable sizing, uninspired fabric choices). Without speaking for the group, I do think the general consensus is to see them take a few more risks - more unique fabrics, bringing back certain designs (two pocket shirt) and not limit the cool denim offerings to just aprons. What they do well they could do great with a few minor corrections. That's perhaps what's most frustrating - they have to see that opportunity. for the most part, I think they do denim fairly well. But as you stated, they need to take more risks and stop taking safe bets with their SF customers. their potential is good with the fabrics they get but often times they're missed opportunities. when they price denim in the $79-100 range you're getting true value, but when their stuff starts hovering around $150 you might as well go with an established brand without the 3 month wait. The pattern i've seen here and on IG is that people that are new to selvedge/raw denim start with Gustin but eventually graduate to better brands like 3sixteen, RgT, PBJ, etc. I also don't think Gustin is really helping themselves in the long term when a lot of their recent offerings look like something taken from a J.Crew catalog.

See! One unique drop - the Cone Natural Indigo 16 - if they only did that more consistently...

I just got a grey/green plaid from Gustin today. I like it and the alignment looks pretty good to me and I'm not going to post pix of it so I can continue to enjoy it.

Finally got the mystery selvedge from the Black Friday sale.
Good news: they fit!
Bad news: No clue what fabric it is. Based on the weight and color I *think* they are the 101, but they didn't bother to actually indicate which they are.

I got my pigment dyed sweatshirt today. I already have the normal blue one but it was too large so mainly got the new one to get a smaller size. In normal Gustin fashion something is good and something is also bad. The fit is alot better, but its wierd, since its slimmer but almost as long in the body and arms? Its also paper thin and the ribbed cuffes and collar that seems beefy on the original is now flat and thin? The color doesnt show that washed out look that I was hoping for, and I thought it would be similar to the pigment dyed t-shirts, but no, its almost like the entire sweater is just simply lighter blue all over?
Wierd.

Just got shipping notices for true khaki twill and cone indigo canvas chinos. I ordered them so long ago that I had basically forgotten about them. Well that and they are a month late, which is about avg for them.

Not a big fan, but maybe they'll grow on me.

Not picking on you, I've just become tired of seeing Gustin whining about deliveries. QC issues do happen and are a PITA but the schedule..............ehh. No worries.

QC issues do happen and are a PITA but the schedule..............ehh. No worries. I'm being a little facetious, but it because they haven't met a delivery timeline on the 20+ items I have from them. It's my own fault for going back, i just really want the loomies. It's not as if this is the first run they've done. They know how long it takes, don't set a timeline on which you can't deliver. Hopefully soon, hopefully soon

Ugh, those diarrhea colored persimmon jeans are atrocious. even more laughable at $315 Yeah, the pricing is absurd. My Oni Olives are heavier, proprietary and have actual pre/post measurements and were more than 50% cheaper at full retail. Not sure who buys their wood runs.

Picked up a pair of black x coal and a blue 17. I'm a sucker for some heavy(ish) fabric on this side of the price spectrum.
*Anyone have any feedback on the blue 17s? Worried about them looking a little leopard spotty in one of their stock pics.

I just got my loomstates. I'm a 31 slim normally, so I sized up 3 sizes. When I measure across the waist, I get 17" exactly. When I put them on, they feel like all my other Gustins. How f!@ked am I? I thought that by sizing up 3 sizes I'd be swimming in these, but instead they are a little bit loose. If I give it a soak in cold water, with something to keep the waist from shrinking, would that be good enough? I feel like they f!@ked up the sizing here. Anyone else get loomies sized 3 sizes up and feel like they weren't sized right?

Anyone else get loomies sized 3 sizes up and feel like they weren't sized right? The math to me looks like they measure 2.5 inches larger than you should get with a properly sized 31. It seems like they are in the ballpark as to where they should be.

I just put them in the tub and put a TV stand from my plasma in the wasit band. That seemed to fit perfectly. Fingers crossed.

Did anyone else order their Okayama True? www.weargustin.com/store/5144Mine came today and they are nothing like advertised. First, the blue n red ID. Mine have all blue on one leg, and all red on the other, not blue n red together as pictured. Second, they are NOT slubby in the slightest. The denim is very tightly woven and smooth with no neppies anywhere. Third, there is no "yellow cast" to the weft. It's stark white. As white or whiter than any other pair I have. Overall, they look like a pair of standard Cone Mills. Can anyone else who got a pair weigh in?
