Has anyone else contacted Gusting to ask WTF on shipping something other than advertised for the Black Friday Mystery chambray? Just curious on the response.

Hmm.... I'll check at home. I can't tell the scale on the fabric swatch they photographed, but my shirt seems like it has clearer vertical twill lines.

The problem isn't determining which chambray they shipped for the mystery chambray campaign, the problem is that they didn't ship chambray at all.

Yeah that's not the shirt. There's no sign of selvege, and it's tagged 100% cotton.

It's not a 1x1 chambray weave at all, not even close. It's basically a buttery soft ultra lightweight denim button down shirt, non-selvage.

ANy of you guys buy the #167 Italy BlackXBlack?
I've been watching this pair come and go for a year and I'm seriously drawn to the saturated look.

I hated them at first, they do not like to fade, but after some prolonged abuse, they're starting to get some pretty nice, stark white fades and vertical streaking. They are very soft too, easily the softest jeans I've got. Not nearly as much fade potential as the Japan BxB, but they're a little more refined. I still sneak them in mid week as non jeans with nary a complaint. My wife hates them, but that seems true of any black jeans and even new indigo denim.

I like the saturated look. They would be perfect as chinos IMO due to the fabric being soft, but I do consider these my formal jeans. I ordered them in 35 slim, and I probably should have sized down to a 34 slim.

Thanks guys.
I actually like the non fades. I could see the chino thing as well.
I'll buy them and baby them, keep the color and enjoy the density. Reminds me of Levis cords I used to wear as a kid, the black ones were super dark.
Backed 'em and now I wait.

Gustin was able to get me an XL black T for fit check! Big shout out to stephenpowell for the shirt. I am really liking both the large and XL unless the large one shrinks then I'm f!@ked. I really suggest trying Gustin's t shirts I'm very impressed with their 100% cotton offerings.

I really need to snag some more of their slub cotton shirts at some point, my wife likes them so much they've literally gotten me laid before! If that's not a ringing endorsement I don't know what is.

I've noticed some minimal shrinkage after a machine wash and dry, but no shrinkage after a machine wash and hang dry.

Their fabric varies, but as a general guideline if the T fits well or slightly snug at first it'll probably be good to go.

Japan 21's are in, annnnnnnd, I think mine fit. A little snug but nothing crazy. I could get the top button to button with just a little extra effort. Rise is fine, thighs are a little tight but no more than I would expect; taper, bottom opening and inseam are all great. Denim is BEEFY. This is my first 20+ and wow, you know you're wearing something big.
Pretty stoked, I think these are going to work out. I'll measure and stuff later.

I'm curious how these compare to the Iron Heart 21oz fabric. Did anyone who owns the IH 21oz get the Gustins as well?

Japan 21s in stock store. 33 slim which is my size if they are to spec. But I have a feeling these might be at the very low end of tolerably small which would make them painful. I went 34 slim anticipating a spec range coming in small
