I haven't tried actually sizing up and going slim yet though.

I haven't tried actually sizing up and going slim yet though. I do because I'm fat-ish and lazy-ish in the winter. They'll probably be too big for me by Summer. The good news is that all you have to do is wash on warm to pull them in a bit in most cases.

Japan One Sevens arrived today. Whooooo wheeee! Love these things.
An actually good fit in slim, amazing weight, terrific color, and super soft feel.

Gustin releases new "Just in time for spring" denims that will not ship (being optimistic) until June? My calendar is a little off I guess, but they and others would do well to start matching deliveries to actual seasons. </rant>

Just got my shipping notification for the Blue 17, much earlier than I expected. Has anyone received theirs?

(unfortunately, they are going back due to sizing issues) So you never know! May is still considered as spring. lol

Electric Blue Plaid came in today. I don't feel like I've been able to get a decent picture of it yet, but I've tried a couple times. For some reason it didn't get the horizontal and red treatment on the last button-hole, even though I did find a little bit of loose red thread near it. Anyway, here's some somewhat poor representation: Failed button-hole (best color representation): Another poor shot. The pocket is not quite there on top, which isn't distracting out of isolation -- the pattern is straight all the way across the shirt, though:

Indigo Herringbone didn't quite make the post office countdown, and will either be here tomorrow or have been lost. Italy Midnight Shadow showed, prominent horizontal grain when raw, the indigo is dark enough that it looks black (but absolutely looks to be indigo), and the weft surface almost feels brushed like a flannel making these super soft. Being Italian the warp surface is very smooth and these aren't slubby in the least. Smoothest neppy denim I think I've seen.

I pair my Cone BlueXBlacks with a cordovan boot, or I mix it up with a burgundy/l.grey/d.grey New Balance 996.

And the Italian Midnights are a regret now that I'm seeing the pics come in. I missed them twice (store and stock).

Ladies(?) and Gentleman! We have our first backer of the IndigoxGunmetal. Only 2 hours after it dropped. My guess it was one of you that's in on the 90 day no spend...lol.

japan indigoxgunmetal seems kinda meh.
145 bucks for 13oz not so special looking fabric with summer looming might explain the slow backing.

Thanks for the pics exophobe, they look great, especially with tonal stitching. That beige/red selvedge ID resembles the postal herringbone fabric; perhaps the same Italian mill. Gustin are crazy not to post pics of the completed items for re-runs.

If those weren't tonal, I'd accept their Italianess.

If those weren't tonal, I'd accept their Italianess. We've never quite seen eye to eye on this one, but with my recent acquisition of all this indigo with contrast stitching, I dig it. They'll be interesting as the dark indigo fades out of them since the tonal black or navy stitching (have to give it another close look) will contrast against the lighter blue they fade into. Of course, I'll have to figure out some time to wear them into that fade, and will probably try to keep them looking nice as long as I can.

Chinos don't fade and look nice when tonal. Five pocket chinos are my tonal jeans. Except for my Italian BxB.

Don't get me wrong, they look nice tonal. Darn nice. I just would want them for myself if they were contrast. Sort of a poor man's LFNY indigo chino:
