@wils, that is crazy good. Color, buttons and the construction looks perfect in the pics. Wow! Thanks, it took a bit of work from Ciano to nail the buttons and buckle.

I think Ciano really nailed this. If I didn't have a few of this type or jackets, I'd really be tempted to get this. I have a goatskin jacket that is very similar in design, and really like this.

In case the shaving of the WS doesnt work out, that jacket is totally wabi-sabi in my book!

I wonder if Ciano would make a riding jacket out of denim like IH makes.

So after my Ciano Farmer chinos taking a whirlwind tour around the state over the weekend, they arrived today. I have to say that I am absolutely delighted with them. I bought their size "32", and they came exactly as per the fit guide. I asked for a 34" inseam, and Ciano added another inch for shrinkage. After an initial quick hot soak, and dry, the inseam measures exactly 34"
The orche, is a beautiful color of brown, and look amazing with the Corozo bottons. I personally don't go over every single stitch, but just doing a good look around the pants, they have no flaws.
To me, these are a similar product to what Left Field sells, but for less than half the price, and LF doesn't offer a lifetime guarantee.
I consider myself slim, at 6'2"-185 lbs, and the 905 fit is perfect. This is exactly how I wish the Gustin chinos I have fit, as I find the Gustins a little too form fitting for me. My G size in chinos is a 33 straight, which puts you at 34" actual if they do it right, and the Ciano arrived at 35", and shrinks to a 34" after washing.
I like these so much, that I put in an order for the 18oz khaki, as I like the sample they sent with my package.
Thanks, Ciano, for a job well done! Almost forgot to add that these have heavy duty pocket bags!! Wish I had these in my other jeans.

Yes! The fit on the 12oz Duck 5 pockets is perfect! I need to run to boxing so I didn't have time to try the 30oz but they are nuts. I tried to undo the top button and that alone was going to require a feat of strength.

davelewis.. Did the chino really shrink a whole inch after the soak and dry? I was told to expect minimal to no shrinkage with the chinos.

Yea, it did shrink an inch in the inseam, but I did a quick soak in the tub with hot water, maybe for only a couple minutes, then towell dried, and threw them in the dryer until dry. I didn't re-measure anything else, but if, or any additional shrinkage to the rest of the pants were minimal at best.

For when I was not receiving email replies, I called. That's worth a shot.
Ciano told me he'll try to get the jeans done for me next week, I can't wait. If the fit is good, I will be placing an order for an 18oz chino, perhaps w double knees.
30oz would be interesting on the motorcycle to say the least, but I'm not crazy about the color

Here's the fit pic for the 12oz Ducks in 33 slim with the reduced waist. Call it a slim straight, fits like a Gustin slim or Lawless Straight now. The construction is perfect, I'm wearing them at work right now with a tucked G oxford and RW Iron Rangers. This is by far the best value in US made canvas pants.

Got the ok from Ciano to post the pictures. I always want a canvas jacket but my style doesn't work with the typical canvas chore coat. I asked Ciano about this style couple months back and I think it comes out excellence. I should have it by early next week. It is a size medium and I will do a quick review with fit pictures. Based on the pictures, I am very excited. As I said that many times on this thread, I really like the details put in by Ciano. It is in dark brown heavy 18oz canvas with carved wooden buttons. I believe Ciano is also making a matching vest in canvas. I was hoping today but USPS doesn't like me..... look like I will have it on Monday. Can't wait.

To my eye, for this style of wear, Ciano blows away the competition, with overall design, and fabric. Seeing this makes me want one too, and I don't even need another of this overall type, though I am confident I'll be picking up a vest made from this fabric.

How long after payment were people receiving their pants? The paypal note says allow 3-5 weeks and I'm almost to the 5 week mark. Not impatient but I may end up getting these before my Gustins I paid for in October.

I have been wanting some duck canvas pants and just stumbled over to this thread. Looks promising! Has anyone fully deciphered the CF size charts for duck canvas orders? Their charts make perfect sense to me for raw denim, but I don't figure canvas will shrink or stretch as much.
My waist measure 36.5. I wear a 35 straight in Gustin and 36 straight in LD. I'm guessing tagged 34 in CF 905 is the way to go.

I just got my ciano 12oz ochre duck canvas chinos today. packaging: great. little extras like hanger tags: awesome. construction: top notch. what i ordered: not even close.
I had ordered a tag size 30 and asked for their vanity waist size of 33" to be changed to 32". i also asked for a 32" inseam. I followed up the order with an email to confirm this waist alteration would be no problem.
Mike responded that he got my note and it would be no issue. My notes were also included in the order confirmation I got.
Fast forward ~8 wks (from time of order / ~6.5 wks from invoice) to today. Somehow what they made was a waist size of 30" and an inseam of 31". Even if they slipped up and simply made the standard 'size 30', it should have come in with a 33" waist...not sure where either the waist or the inseam measurements they used came from. ciano said he'd jump on getting a corrected pair worked up and send me a return label for this pair.
Hopefully it'll all get straightened out in short order.
