It is all a matter of perspective. For example, some of us prefer Milt Sparks and Del Fatti while others settle for Galco and Desantis. Can you imagine cancelling a Del Fatti or Milt Sparks order because it is one month late? ? You just made me google a bunch of shit I don't care about, and moreover, the argument had nothing to do with timing, but rather offerings. Thanks for letting us know you like guns, though, without actually coming out and telling us you like guns. This will be my first and only interaction with you. That post was not meant for any interaction from you! Read your original post, it had nothing to do with timing. BTW, I don't "like" guns I "LOVE" guns!

Anybody miss the good old days when you could go the G website and get jeans made from interesting denim? I'm not trying to be negative at all, but I used to look forward to what denim would drop on Tue/Thurs . . . now it's a few pairs of relatively standard jeans and a bunch of other stuff. Scarves, bags, hats, notebook covers . . . when are the pillow shams, bed skirts and duvet covers coming? I don't understand your point? Because they aren't interesting to you (the accessories and denims), they can't be interesting to others? I find the the ones Gustin recently offered to be just as interesting as denims Griffin posted, if not more interesting. Italy BxBs, Italy IxIs, Japan GreyxBlacks, Japan Indigo Silks, etc. I'd take those over any of the ones Griffin posted in that screenshot. Actually, I don't see any that Griffin posted that I would have backed. And if you are no longer look interested in the Gustin drops, which occur pretty much everyday now, why do you keep going back to see? Lastly, I own way more non-blue denims than blue denims. I find the Okayamas Stds and Super Heavys sufficient for blue denims, maybe adding another heavier weighted denim to the mix, but find myself looking to back non-blue denims more often than blue denims. Not everyone is looking for blue denims. I actually miss the good old days when people didn't just bash Gustin for the sake of bashing Gustin.

devastitis i didn't take stinky's post as an outright bash...more of a longing for the days of yore. i think several of us (myself included) aren't as interested in the gaggle of new products being offered, or at least these particular designs of the items. (city jacket, ball cap, watch bands, field notes cover, cpo, etc). there was a much greater excitement for tues/thurs when there were so many different interesting denims being offered. i think there are still interesting shirt fabrics being offered, but unfortunately anything with a pattern isn't an option until the alignment/construction is improved. i still like G's jeans quite a bit and personally keep checking the drops to see if anything interesting (indigo or not) pops up, or something i've wanted in the past makes a return. just like you preferring non-indigo doesn't mean that others can't hope for things that interest them as well.

I remember when Gustin was just about jeans. They were offering raw denim, at very good price points, and people were excited. If they want to keep this thing going, it is only reasonable that they would offer different denims, and expand their product base, as one can reasonably own only so many pair of the same color jeans. I'm at the point of some where I don't get excited anymore about what drops, because I have mostly what I need, but continue to look to maybe find something awesome. Its just an evolutionary process. I received my 16oz. black apron last weedend, and love it, and although I probably won't be buying much down the road, I'll still keep my eye on whats being offered. If I don't like, I don't buy.

It's a ridiculous statement to say good old days. I'm not saying that you can't prefer indigo, but blue denims isn't everything. They are constantly evolving to offer things that they hadn't offered before, and I find it as refreshing, not as them leaving their roots. Their aprons were a hit from all the old Gustiners, duffle bags have been nice (still waiting on my charcoal one), and water bottles among others. I backed the Hbone CPO, and the other accessory offerings they have are for those who asked for them in the Reddit and SF forums. They still have their old school offerings, but they look to offer more than just old recycled offerings, which keeps them fresh and interesting. If people find LD more interesting, that's cool. But Gustin is just as interesting as it ever was. Saying good old days just makes you sound like a curmudgeon.

Completely fair point. I also am pretty finished with what I need, in both denims and shirts, and haven't really backed anything in a while, and find myself selling items I don't feel I will make the most of. But I do find myself thinking if I hadn't already had everything I needed, I'd have backed several of these recent denim and shirt offerings (Japan Indigo Silks and the Japan Slate Blue Twill most notably). I probably would have backed the hat if it was fitted, key ring if it had a bottle opener attachment, and still considering a few more aprons as gifts. I love my BlackxBlack apron, and use it everyday.

Jame, stop being so sensitive about people comments about Gustin.
No offense to you but none of the items that you mentioned above that are interesting (at least to me). For the CPO, there is 17oz one from Iron Heart that I can get for $230. For the duffel bag, if I decide to get a canvas one, I will go for a Filson. For the bottle, I just get it from Hydro Flasks.
Do you see the pattern? People had opened my eyes and I have decided to start paying more for the "real thing". Life is too short to settle for imitation, especially the prices are so similar.

Enough of the bickering on the same topic. Next up will just be deletions. It's been done, beat, put away wet and brought out again. Let this be the end of it.

and the other accessory offerings they have are for those who asked for them in the Reddit and SF forums. devastitis: I appreciate your passionate enthusiasm for Gustin and your steadfast defense of the company and their offerings/quality--if there were more G employees like you who were engaged in their own forum/customers and eager to address issues, I think the company would be even more successful than it is. I've always had a healthy respect for you, but sometimes I think the sheer volume of G items you own clouds your judgement. Anyhow, to address the line that you made above, it kind of proves a point . . . the Gustin company was on other boards working with those members to design new trinkets and tchotchkes, and all any of us on the G forum wanted was jeans that fit properly and plaid shirts that weren't crooked. I understand that SF and /r represent *new* customers, so it's important for them to be there getting new people hooked as opposed to their own forum which was comprised of people who already drank the G kool-aid, but seriously . . . is it too much to ask to have the clothing sewn up properly? After all, they are a clothing company. If they were a pizza company, I would be a little more lenient on their ability to sew things properly, but they are a clothing company, and as such, I expect them to get the basic stuff right, and when they don't, a mea culpa here and there to make it seem like the company is at least interested in its loyal customers would be nice. I have examples of how I was treated that I would be more than happy to share with you through PM, but it's not something that I am interested in airing publicly.

Italy BxBs, Italy IxIs, Japan GreyxBlacks, Japan Indigo Silks, etc. I'd take those over any of the ones Griffin posted in that screenshot. Actually, I don't see any that Griffin posted that I would have backed. Hi. I just want to say that I kinda just snapped a pic. The pic is what Gustin looked like in the beginning. Although there were only jeans, we were all more excited about new drops then we are today. I missed the naturals first run and almost killed myself, and then became so happy when it got offered again. The feeling for me was that I was involved in something special and rare, and almost hidden to others. I felt this was the greatest thing in my clothing life that ever happened (this is actually true...we cant get shit here where I live), and I showed the jeans to everyone, even many storeowners. You are right that its pointless to long for old days, and even if G had still been only about jeans we would have lost the initial flame nevertheless. This is due to many things, and I do think G did excatly what they should do, and the only thing they could do since there is a limit to how many jeans one can have, and their mission was also always "...starting with denim.." so if one followed them you would have started with affordable jeans, some special ones, and then moved on to more exotic and really supernice ones a little more pricey like the loomies and the zimbys and the h-bonies (and so on, beast, organic). It is noones "fault" that some have lost the spark. For me its basically that Im starting to fill up my needs for jeans and whatever looks nice nowdays is too expensive. Not G´s fault but my own, but it puts me in a place where Im less stoked about new drops and rarely even visits the site. I have been waiting for the sweatshirt forever (since first flash) and this is something im still hoping for. Offcourse mistakes never helps, but basically I think its all about ones closet and needs and hunger for this kind of thing that probably changed more at each person then being G doing all wrong and effing up. I dont think I ever bought this many clothes from one single botuiqe before so even tho im not hungry anymore and have some consernes - i have put more money then usual into this, helping it grow. I feel G have kept their style, I just dont think some people saw what this style really was until recently. Cant rap this post up any good, but yeah, I long for alot of old days, its silly, but its life.

Never been a fan of del fatti or milt. Not a full leather holster guy nor a 1911 carry guy. Crossbreeds daily. But that's another convo. But yes I would cancel if it's a month late off principal if it was handled the same way as what you're speaking of.

Currently my Kobra Carry and Milt Sparks Nexus are keeping my Gustins company.
