@61scout; I figured you might have been referring to the front rise. Yeah I don't think any of us want to look like that guy...lol. I think that guy wore his girlfriends pants to work that day.

@ambassador When you buy jeans do you just buy them based on the waist fitting? If you do then you have nothing to worry about BUT if you have problem areas like some people do , you cant just go off of waist. You have to choose a size that accommodates your entire fit. For someone like me I have to check the thigh measurement. If that measyrement is to tight then I have to go up to a larger waist size which means the waist will be bigger then I want but the thigh will fit. The purpose of this thread was to inform people that were keeping the waist perfect for them but changing the thigh or whatever else they were changing is no longer allowed OK, customers may choose only waist measurements whatever they what? Yes? You may choose whatever the waist available and what ever comes along with that specified waist

@ambassador; gotcha. That makes sense bbecause I've always thought the back rise on the 501s were a bit too high, gave me saggy ass. This is on the 501 STFs btw, dont know about the regulars. Different strokes for different folks Do the squats My regular 501's back rise in 33'' is 15,4 and 15,8 in 34''. Yep, who wants jeans for catwalking buying modern slim straights cuts with low rise, for normal guys exist 501 cut, but there is not a lot affordable options of it in the modern world.

Or I just don't understand your devious mind.

@ambassador; Oh I definitely do the squats, and the deadlifts, and the lunges, and the good mornings (I'm doing this in my Schwarzenegger accent btw) but a 15.4/15.8 back rise is just way too much for me. It would be halfway up my lower back....not really but it'd be high But I am a slim dude so medium rises work for me.

If you slim like Thompson bros & co, you probably don't wear 34 size of "501".

Dirty_Denim How does one know if a custom pattern has been made for them? Also, what if you have a local tailor take your measurements (since AZ is not someplace I am going to jet off to and would add $300 to the cost), or is the customer expected to hang around until the pattern is done so that they can make adjustments if needed?

The only way to have one made ATM is by coming into the store. Requesting one online is not currently available for reasons like we do not want to take on that many full custom orders right now regardless if it means a bit more profit for us. Having a tailor take your measurements still requires the pattern to be cut and calculated which will take the same amount of time. This is why the full custom option is only available in store to help control what comes in to the factory. We could definitely offer it but that all but eliminates our goal to get orders out in a shorter amount of time. I mean making a garment happens fairly quick but throw in 1000 or more orders and then make 25% of those as full custom and you are left with 3 month wait times. Also, when a full custom customer comes in they do not get it the same day. I should say I havent seen how the shop handles walk ins for full custom. Ill know exactly how it goes down this week

Hi DD,
I realize you answered regarding semi-custom on jeans (inseam and waist were what we could modify), but what about jackets and shirts? I got the following from Laura about my Type 2: ' Keep in mind, our team will base your generic fit off of these measurements to find the one that will work best for your specifications'
Problem is: I have a chest that comes up 41.5 true measure, and a 32 waist, so Roman was saying a M, but if I just get a generic M jacket, this won't be a great fit, since as you can see my other measurements are for a S or even XS.
Shoulder: 18 1/2
Collar: 15.5
Sleeve (measured by Lawless guide to halfway down the back of hand): 23
Wrist with watch: 8) Bicep: 13.75
Armhole: 19
Front Length: 21
Back Length: 23
I'm slim and have a wiry/muscular build and weigh 148 lbs. So if I just get a generic fit I'm basically screwed. My problem with Gustin, like a LOT of people here is that we're shorter and have larger chests than their fit, making the shirts blousy or tight across the chest and shoulders. LD is looking similar in terms of their generic. Anyway, I have a lot of confidence in you and Roman, it's just that I've got over 500 bucks invested in LD right now, and just want to make sure that with shirts and jackets there is some way of getting a better fit than pure generic.
Thanks.

Sounds like you'll need a tailor to take in the rest.

So going forward, semi custom will only mean minor changes to your cuts/fits? So my 34" waist and 27" thighs will not be catered to?
