OK, so today, one of our friends came by to drop off some vintage items she picked up for me *not clothing. She owns G-Unit denims and about 50 other pairs, and also gets them for her husband. She walks in and we say hi, etc. and then she looks at me and says "lets talk about that shirt - what is it?" I could tell that she loved it and I had to confess it was my new, lowly GAP 1969 work shirt! Needless to say, it is a great shirt - and not just for the money. I think it's a sleeper. So I will get some pics and post them up. But if you're looking for an inexpensive shirt jones, have a look. Best of all is that they have a ton of sizes in shirts too. Full regular and tall and big sizes. Nice win. And I got it in four days. 1969 classic worker denim shirt

Also, 1969 Bedford Slim Cords, although imports are a decent deal for the price (on sale at $40ish). Nice fabric with an interesting texture. I bought a pair of the raspberry ones when I was considering getting Oxblood2s. I looked ridiculous in them so I exchanged for the Burlwood Brown. I have a Gap around the corner from my office so I end up over there occasionally. www.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=981947002

How heavy? The Chambray looks nice too. Not super heavy, but substantial... I'd say 9-10oz. Bought one of the red chambrays using the same coupon. It's not bad, much lighter weight but has a bit of a sheen that I wish it didn't have.

I've been impressed with alot of the GAP offerings lateley. Maybe its just me, but I like the fit of alot of their clothes. I saw that shirt two weeks ago when shopping for my son's birthday, but passed because I can't wear that heavy of a shirt down here in FL. I bought the Bedford Cords in Grey and a lived in plaid shirt. In my Gustin survey, I sugggested they investigate the GAP's shirt measurements...I'm sure they loved me for that.

I was never a GAP guy but over the past year I've opened up and have started buying shirts and pants from them and have been very surprised with the quality. Just a great place to the get the basics you always need and they have enough fits to get out of the boxy, one-size fits all nature of some brands.

Whatever they are doing now, it's pretty good. For the money and options, nice filler bits. I've got three shirts this week from them.

you guys are talking me in to this. Never in a million years would I think of shopping at Gap, but based on this feedback I might pick up that WS Icksey. You know me. Dude, I'm 100% the same. I bought shitloads of clothing there for kids and grandkids, but they went down hill about 8 years ago. Stopped going. This new stuff is very good for the price. I mean, I've spent more and got less at other "better" places. Recent RRL and other expensive labels left me dry. That's all I'm saying. Not going to be a G-Unit or LD shirt, but solid for beater wear.

Is that another GAP shirt ScottBot? Yup, "1969" variety. Herringboner too. I know it's too "western" for your but it's a nice shirt man!

They're running a 40% off coupon now ("SHOP"), but for the life of me can't find a single thing I want that it works with. They've removed the sale that was on the denim shirts with the coupon code taking them back to that sale price.

The RRL S.A's were telling me that the GAP people have been stopping in their store for ideas. We got into talking about Gap because I wore a callico print work shirt they asked about Gap has been gearing towards a lot of the pieces we like looks wise. I have their Jap 13oz selvedge jeans from a year ago in slim & straight cuts & love em. They even have some with a beige weft thread which looks amazing. Of course I am not comparing them to anyone but def worth looking at to atleast fill some holes in ur wardrobe . There's a new Indigo line where they are dying tshirts, sweats , jackets & shirts that age pretty well

Fellas, I got this one last night in the mail. I was absolutely amazed at the quality and details and the heft of it! Seriously, if I could get more of these, I would. I got it for $30, with tags. That's 2/2 on the GAP shirts and two more coming today. I have had more queries on these two than any other shirts I can recall. Don't know if it's awesome or sad?

Pair of Gap 13oz selvedge in straight cut Nice photo. Frankly, your gap jeans looks better than 80% of the fit pictures I see on Gustin. I really believe jeans is more about the person who rock them than the jeans themselves. Btw, no jeans can save my short legs.

Is what it is chaps. I was almost hoping they would suck to justify nutso pricing on other things. Sadly, no dice. But my son already has one of the denim Work Shirts coming tomorrow. Until I can get some LD stuff my way, I am happy with these affordable shirts. True story.

As you can see I added some suspender button to the to give them a bit of a twist. The great thing about repro brands becoming mainstream is that brands like Gap & Jcrew are starting to put copy cat products out but of course affordable to the masses
