So I haven't seen any mention of the KS brand "OriJeans" here or on the Gustin board, so I figured I'd give my input. www.orijeans.us
The premise is, put in your actual body measurements and choose your fabric, cut, details and they tailor these specifically for your measurements. I have to say, mine fit extremely well.
I ordered this pair of slim fit jeans from the KS campaign:
Mens's Slim cut with 16.7 oz selvedge, Cone Mill (US) denim, a mid waist, a hidden buttons fly, silver hardware, grey thread, wide-opening front pockets (with coin pocket), large back pockets without zippers.
The construction is solid, but there were a few details about which I wasn't crazy. These have probably been sorted out by now. Mike, the founder, has been extremely responsive to all my questions. Even taking time out of his vacation with his fiancé to answer an email within minutes.
I've had the jeans for several months now, and am just beginning to wear them. The 16.7oz Cone Mills fabric is stout, and stretching slowly. Stitching is, so far as I can tell, perfect. Of course, I'm a newb with raw denim, so take that with a grain of salt. Two things I don't like, one is inherent in the design, and one I think they fixed. 1.) the seam on the inner thigh was "backwards" from every other pair of jeans I've ever seen. As this really didn't matter to me, I accepted my pair and moved on. 2.) the design of the fly makes the stitching on the right side of the opening visible. Take a look at their pictures, it's different and I'm not crazy about it, but whatever. It's how they designed them.
The hardware is so-so. The cap on the main button isn't terrible solid, but it's not going anywhere. The rivets are really shiny, something I didn't expect.
All in all, for the KS price of $99 I'm extremely happy with them. For the normal price of $149 it's not something I would consider again unless they have some crazy fabrics. Speaking of...their selection is SUPER limited. I guess $150 for a pair of custom tailored jean's isn't so bad, but it's out of my price range. The have some of the customization available which Lawless does, adding in the custom measurements.
Just wanted to give a couple thoughts on them and see if anyone else had experience!
