 any of you own anything by Iron and Resin? The trucker jacket above seems decent enough but it costs $275, which is more than Filson's tin cloth short cruiser and of course the Gustin waxed trucker jacket. It looks nice enough but the one weird design feature I've noticed in my google search is that this jacket has a zipper and buttons on the front, versus just buttons as most trucker jackets tend to have. The brown waxed version above is sold out though, but they do offer 3 other colors - black, indigo denim with a tan waxed cotton yoke and an army green version with an almost safety orange yoke. they should've just released another brown variety with a slightly lighter yoke like Rick's jacket from The Walking Dead - I just find the indigo and army green versions kind of an eyesore. thoughts on this brand? |

Looks great from here. I saw they have a similar one in heavier (12-oz) unwaxed canvas with a quilted liner; that one looks pretty sweet too.

I have that exact jacket. Picked it up at a surf shop in Hermosa beach last spring. I was out with the GF and walked in to pick up a hoodie as we'd met for dinner after I got off work and it was windy and cold. A long walk was in the plans...
Anyway the jacket was blowing out at $125 and they had the dark oak and the black. I grabbed it in dark oak and it's a great jacket. I don't particularly like the corduroy on the collar but it's not a deal killer. I'd just prefer a plain collar. It's worth the retail price if you love it...but NOT cheap. Construction is top notch.

Sounds like you got a great deal. The corduroy isn't a great feature but like you said, it's not a deal breaker either

Looks great. The one feature that puts me off a bit is the zipper. I'm not typically a fan of zip + button on this type of jacket

Yea zippers are devastating to any item for me. Without it that jacket is great
