hi all first time on here and need some help badly please guys, my questions are all about sizing of lvc 501 1955, basicly im a big guy at 6.4" long body shorter legs so I need a higher rise or I tend to get a gap between waist of jeans and my tops or my shirts come untucked all the time, so im thinking the lvc 1955 501 is the cut for me, problem is im also 40" waist and it seems these jeans only go up to a 38", so after many attempts at levis live chat I gave up as they don't seem to know the answers to any of my questions and just end the chat on me, frustrating!!!!! so my questions are 1, are these a high rise as advertised 13" plus 2,what is the largest waist size available, 3,if 38" is the largest waist available how true to stated size are the real measurements and would they stretch to a 40"
Finally any recommendations of similar brands please? any help greatly appreciated.
all the best
jools

I would go over and search and read the Super Future Superdenim forum. They have a large LVC thread with a ton of information.

Is there a genuine reason why you want LVC? There are much better brands out there with both more interesting denims and reliable size charts.
If you're looking for something like the '55 501, I think TCB's 50s jean is based on that.

hi buddy thanks for reply, no no reason at all im open to any suggestions that fit my size shape budget and have the look I want, im tall but regular length leg and long back so need a higher rise, the 55 ive had before and the rise is good for me but to be honest the leg a little loose, ive also had the 66 but found the rise to low and the leg to narrow, im into the early 60s mod look but if I go to slim I look top heavy as im 48 chest so the 55 was always the best balance of the two for me. also ive put an inch or 3 on the waist since my last purchase lol now measuring 44 round the waist, pleeeeeeas help guys any advice really appreciated

Quick search I found this, pricy but worth it to at least get one custom pair. madeinusajeans.us/big-mens-jeans/

Hi bud thanks, I had a lot of help from tcbs online chat help, i can't fault there customer support absolutely second to none, I have Allways worn any raw jeans in bath as to stop the shrink and it has worked in the past, im actually In a pair of 38 waist right now that have stretched out to a 42 so am thinking I could try a similar strategy as have found a lot of retailers going up to a 40. I will check out you second suggestion in a while bud. Thanks so much for your advice

joolsey68If you think a 40 might work, I'd buy a cheap pair of Gustin straits. They have 3 pairs under $75. Though you do have to wait 3 months
