I have a pair of CF chinos in ochre that I like a lot, but there is a long wait. A lot of folks like the TS chore pant. I think they look pretty good, but like you I'm not keen on the double knee. Probably would be good if you were actually going to do work in them though. Don't know anything about the railcar, but they look nice. Another option, which would be pretty similar to the railcar in style and price: leftfieldnyc.com/collections/chinos/products/pre-order-kerouac-caramel-duck-chinoI don't own these, but I do have a pair of denim from LF NYC that I like a lot. I also have two pairs of canvas chinos from Gustin. Their slim chino fit is a good one for me. I have the olive duck (12 oz) and the selvedge indigo (10 oz.). I think both pairs were well under $150.

DigDug I own three pairs of TS chore pants (caramel, vintners and the moto one.) I think they are nice but they do get hot especially in the double knee areas. They don't really stretch or shrink at all so I would size for a comfortable fit. If you don't like the double knee, they have the camp pants I think which is same fit but not sure if they did a heavy canvas material. I soaked the caramel and vintners which gave them a washed look. I needed to clean mine since I wore it for a year and it was funky so just to let you know, the color will get muted/washed out once it hits water. Another option could be Manny depending on his wait time and how busy he is with everything.

Another option. You'll have to email or call them for measurements, as they don't seem to list them. I have a couple of their shirts from the same El Paso plant and they're very well made.
You could also check the Earl's Apparel Stan Ray fatigue pants that North Menswear stocks, they're a little cheaper.
