A couple of months ago, I bought these: www.rogueterritory.com/shop/safari-trousers-navy/I was looking for a lightweight navy pant for summer and these fit the bill. They were, however, on sale and couldn't be returned. When I got them, the fit was good everywhere but the thighs, which were way too tight. This despite having other pants with a similar thigh measurement. Not sure why. I think you can drastically change the thigh measurement depending on the angle at which you measure. Anyway, after a couple of wears I gave up on them (gave them to my skinny-legged neighbor) and then found these: www.grownandsewn.com/collections/featherweight-twills/products/independent-slim-pant-navyGot them the other day. I have just tried them on, but so far I really like them. Their slim cut is really nice. I was between a size 34 and 36 and sized down based on their recommendation and the waist is good. Depending on my needs, this brand would definitely get another look from me for twill chinos. I think the featherweight twill really sets them apart from other MiUSA pants makers. Everyone does 12 oz canvas or 9-10 oz twill. Seems like Gustin is the only other MiUSA brand doing really lightweight fabrics. Anyone else with any experience with this brand? EDIT: I have also learned not to buy things on sale if you can't return them. I think. EDIT #2: Their handmade patched offerings are silly though.

Strong agreeance on edit 2. I've debated trying them before, but haven't committed to the five pocket cut.

In person, I would say these look more like a traditional chino rather than a five pocket cut. The back pockets are welted, there's just stitching around them, which makes for an interesting look, in my opinion.
