Haha, no, more just that they're a timeless design and should outlast you. I'm wearing an awful AE monk strap today that would be better burnt to ashes. Must make better decisions.

I do not like doubles. And yeah, I have been wanting a pair w/commando soles for awhile. The NYC store popped up on my IG today, that's where I found them.

No, doubles are always and forever terrible. They remind me of cycling shoes when I was a kid. They're these stupid things, but not polished to this absurd level:

I own these Alden shells. I will likely be buried in these, unless I'm cremated in which case i'll give them to my son (unless he ends up with giant feet) I want these Enzo Bonafe shell bluchers

I also own these Alfred Sargent Moore in chestnut. have never worn them. These are a pair of Edward Green Weymouth's I find several years back. Don't know if this was a special make up or not but I really dig them.
