If you're in the Twin Cities, its worth checking out this denim shop. They've been carrying Tellason, Left Field, Raliegh for a long time. Just found out they now carry Pure Blue Japan and Studio D'Artisan. My quasi-no spend thing just got harder.

I did call once to see about cost for chainstich hemming and they were fairly high. I quoted the lower price of other places around the US and they didn't seem to care.

If you buy denim there, the hemming is free. The owner Steve and the manager Ryan are very good guys who give a crap. I don't recall the cost, but you can also try a guy who used to work at Black Blue and now runs his own denim repair/tailoring operation out of his condo in downtown St. Paul. His name is Satchel. Email is scienceandkindness@gmail.com. He's a really nice and interesting guy and responsive to email. He also does denim darning, which is like a miracle for old pairs. Check him out. In the past, I've just emailed him to set up a time, I meet him at his place and he does the repairs/hemming/whatever while I wait.

I paid $25 to have my Strike Golds chainstitch hemmed and they did a good job. I figured this cost was worth it when you consider ABFits costs $15 + shipping both ways.
I saw they carry SDA but didn't realize they carried PBJ. Not that it matters, I can't seem to find a fit of theirs that works for me
