While everyone else is gambling away their life savings in smoky casinos, my wife and I hit Red Rock Canyon at 6:30 am. I love this place. And not a moment too soon . . . need to drop a couple of lbs. Attachments:

I dream of visiting the wild west..so beautiful out there. Who would want to sit in a casino and get broke...when there's so much beauty to be seen and explore. enjoy my friend

I've been to Vegas for the past 3 years care of work - best way to see the strip is on someone else's dime:) Beautiful hikes out there. I mentioned this before, if you have the flexibility try the Hotel Tonight app - my gf and I spent a week in Vegas in January, half the time at the Vdara (care of work) and the remainder checking out the various resort spots on a one-night basis. Highly recommend the Palms Place - similar to the Vdara style - no casino, just high-end suites for a decent price.

We split time between the Trump (love this place because there is no casino and no smoke) and Aria (wifey had a convention there). The Palms Place is actually my go-to hotel in Vegas--again, no casino, no smoke. I'm not a casino/gambling hater, I just have no interest in it, and I'm not a big fan of walking through a smoke gas chamber to get to and from my hotel room. I get to LV at least 1x per year . . . i am in the automobile ancillary product biz, and there's always conventions for us in LV. If you haven't stayed at the trump, check that out as well. You can get an amazing room there for $100.

Palm Place is our go to hotel too. It is away from strip and can hold four of us very comfortably.

MGM is my/our go to Vegas hotel. I do an annual trip with about 10-15 (depending on the year) of my boys and it's a blast. The pool section is great and they have a lazy river where you can just hang out and get drunk and look at/talk to women all day. It's just like going to a big pool party, good times. 2 or 3 days of that though and I'm done..lol.

I used to love getting a strip view on a really high floor and hanging out on the balcony at night. I'm sure there was an "incident" that precipitated this.

I have one little kid... so it is ok to us. I can see high building x casino can be a problem.

Been to Las Vegas several times with my buddy's. It's kind if a tradition allready, 1 weekend, no wives, no kids, just the boys having a good time. Well needless to say, we didn't do hiking tours so far, but still cool pics there
