I was introduced to this brand via American Trench and their colaboration linen pants this past summer. I loved the fit and the details of those pants and so looked into the brand... Their Standard Kojima Vintage wash caught my eye as a pre-faded/broken in pair. In person these are awesome: the distressing bringing out the full dynamism of the denim. Being a weekend denim warrior, I don't know how long--if ever--this level of evo would have taken me. Pics to come via TappaTalk

I get their emails and I really like some of their shirt/coat options, like the hbone peacoat and the rinsed denim field shirt.

I've been curious about them for awhile because have heard good things on redditt and they offer both stretch and non cone options
.how do you find the rise? The standards look a wee bit short in the front....but the back is higher then most so could be a good balance...

Sadly, I'm too dumb to be able to answer this question, but the fit of the standard is snug--I'd hate to see what their slim looks like on me. That being said, I really like the fit of the standard and feel it looks flattering.

Cottager Plaid, medium weight oxford cloth from an Italian mill, hand made in a small scale family work shop in Northern Italy. The spread collar is well executed and is a nice difference to most of my other shirts. It opens the neck up and ties nicely into the slope of the traps/shoulders. Here is some shots of the inside: Mother of pearl buttons have a beautiful depth to their slightly iridescent dark blue color and are a beefy thickness that is uniquely satisfying to manipulate. The very bottom of the buttons show a sedimentary like layer of baby blue that is a gem of a treat for the inquisitive observer to ponder... The sleeves, when cuffed up twice, form perfectly around the contours of my forearm, hugging them with nary chance of flopping down inadvertently. Typically I cuff most sleeves a third time for aesthetic reasons, but this shirt feels so natural with just two that I can't argue with it's logic... This is my first Italian shirt, and it's fun to add it to the collection of fine hand made American, Japanese, and Portuguese shirts, and compare all the details: differences and similarities. Well done Shockoe!

The cut of their standard fit jeans are the nicest form fitting pair I own. Worst case you can return (please check on this) if you aren't enamored with em

Worst case you can return (please check on this) if you aren't enamored with em hows the rise? Short? Based on their measurement chart the front rise is 9.75". The rear rise is 14.75". To compare: G Slims are 10" and Bravestar Slim Straight is 10.5" in the front. I do not have rear measurements for these.

was eying the indigo quilted blazer for a bit, but went with the regular kojima's, we'll see how they workout.

Well the standard fit didn't come close to getting over my top block, but the waist worked great...maybe I measure wrong, but just didn't fit as i hoped from spect. Replaced with Classic, and much happier...still pretty snug on top block, but fabric is cool, and a good lighter weight.

kkozel awesome, glad you found a fit that works. That Kojima fabric is cool. The vintage washed pair felt like it had "stretch" mixed in the cotton the first time I put 'em on, I did a double take that they sent the right pair, it had that much give. Love the stitching used on the inseam, the black coated rivets and buttons, the soft pink selvedge id, I could go on and on!

Yeah, I'd be interested in more details. From the pix it just looks like the inside of the denim is brushed, which kind of makes it a flannel, I guess. But saying its "bonded" suggests there is something else going on.

Jacob from AmericanTrench got back to me saying, he reached out to Shockoe to get the specifics on this fabric, and will relay the info back to me.
He did remember it originates from Turkey and the site's description reads: "fabric will shrink .5" in length and minimally in the waist when washed with cold water."
I think taping the leg seam when using non selvedge fabric is a nice touch and I was disappointed when I did not see "leather backed rivets" on this pair. Both those details were missing from their corduroy exclusives and though far from deal breakers it's these small touches that make a big difference.
Curious about the arcuates on these too?

Thats a cool jacket. I could see henleys, wafle thermals, button ups, v-necks, even a polo.
Course, talk is cheap and I think those sales are final.
Their lookbook my give you some inspiration?

And I do t even see that on the site anymore. I'll bet they would make something up if you asked though

Thanks for the look book suggestion, that piece is not in it. I'll probably pass on it, I tend to get overly excited when I see measurements that fit me. That herringbone pea coat is pretty interesting. shockoeatelier.com/pages/capsule-one-lookbook
