I am looking for a good fitted fall jacket. I usually love jackets that are fitted and are not too long. I currently have an Aero Sheene that I love everything about except it is a little on the heavier side and I cannot wear it all the time. Here is a picture of it that I posted a long time ago. Any pointers for some good jackets out there. I want something minimal with not a lot of pockets in the front, would prefer a zipper and something like a cafe racer with a collar. In leather or canvas. Something under $300 if possible.. thanks. .

For under $300, you can get a Ciano duck canvas jacket made to your measurements, if I'm not mistaken

Well, a shameless plug to my favorite brand... For sub-$300 ($269), you can get an IHJ-46 (17oz duck canvas type 3) through one of the Rakuten shops that ships internationally. Same jacket through IHUK will cost you $365. global.rakuten.com/en/search/?k=IHJ-46 I have the IH-2526J which is basically the same thing, but with a shorter body, and hand-warmer pockets, but it's only available through IHUK, and it has a $365 price tag. www.ironheart.co.uk/jackets/ih-2526j.html

I like my supply jacket from rogue territory. They make a lined and unlined version. I like the updated type III look without too many pockets. I got a wool lined on sale for under $300 last year some time, I think from domestic domestic.

I think I am going to try this one once I get the measurements confirmed..

I don't think I was very clear on what I said before. The RgT supply jacket is not a type III, but I think borrows some elements from it, particularly the cut. I generally don't like a bunch of pockets, since I rarely use any of them, and this jacket keeps it to a minimum. I like that IH one too though. The canvas is a great color.

I am going to try this one from Timberland that I got for $100 with an additional 20%. Mainly concerned how it fits around the waist. If the fit works out.. it might end up being a good pick for the price. Timberland Link

Any feedback from folks here on the Taylor Stitch long haul waxed jacket? Love the tailored fit of these and the price is very reasonable for a jacket from TS. TS link

I know a couple of people on here have it. Personally, it didn't fit me well being stocky and it was shorter than I thought it would be. I tried both a 42-44 but it was too tailored for my build. Quality wise it seemed good for the price.
