If it is totally off spec contact Andrew. He's an awesome guy and might exchange it for you. I bought it through another company because they were sold out on their site. I can't even roll the sleeves up over my elbows. it's too late now since i'm wearing the shirt. looks like i'll be selling my Lancaster as well.

I picked up the Western Paisley for 63 bucks with the coupon. Hoping the fit is decent. Got this in and its a good one. Fit is a *little* big but nothing terrible and it might even shrink a little bit so I'm not concerned in the least. I really dig the fabric. The snaps are dope AF. I like how the western-ness is a little less sharp and more rounded. Sewing and details are spot on. I also appreciate the nice note from the owner and the prompt shipping. I shouldn't even have to qualify it with "for the price", but for the price, I'm over the moon to get an American made shirt of this quality. Advantage: America.

Apparently, there are a number of culinary artists in need of an indigo fix..... You've got to hand it to Freenote, they have some originality. An indigo chef's jacket, though ?

I really like that fabric on the chef, I wish they made their workers jacket out of it. I'm curious how @untucked feels about their deck jacket, though.

Yeah, some of the new jackets are pretty adventurous. I'd totally go for the denim riders jacket though if I had the cash.

Their fits don't work for me so I've put them off my radar. I like what theyre doing though.
There are a few other brands out there like this that have nice looking stuff but then I look at their fit guides and I run for the hills. Shockoe Atelier is a brand I've wanted to try but their denim fit guide is just wonky.

Shockoe Atelier is a brand I've wanted to try but their denim fit guide is just wonky. The way that companies measure their thighs has always bothered me. Some places measure straight at the crotch seam and across the thigh while other places measure one inch down from the crotch and then straight across. The problem with this is most places don't bother explaining which system they use for measuring. As someone with big thighs the difference that .5 inches in size makes is significant when your talking about raw denim.

Yep, the lack of a universal measuring system doesn't really help. But as you said, when companies don't bother explaining how they measure really complicates things even more. This has kept me from trying newer brands.

Does anyone happen to own the Freenote Indigo Gingham and/or care to comment on the sizing and fit? I think we're all on the same page when it comes to the size chart provided by Freenote webstore and wondered where this shirt sits on that spectrum of sizing. I found a XL on sale but cant seem to find any reviews or size specs on retailer websites that gives a more specific measurement. Even though I most always fall in the XL catergory for tops so much depends on shoulder width and body length because of my tall wide shoulder frame that I always have to do some research to make sure the fit is accurate in those areas.

I own that shirt in Large--great texture, I really like the fabric. I went with Large and am swimming in it--got it as a final sale, so I'm "looking" into getting it tailored. I'll bust the tape out, but please be aware I'm very amateur at any sort of measurements

Hips/bottom: 22

Willing to sell this bad boy? Essentially the perfect size for me. PS: Nice cat food and VHS collection. Let me think about it, please. I havn't done the tailor dance with any shirts and think this is a good candidate (shorten length? and "squeeze/cinch" the body in?) lol dont know how practical any of that is. I was recommended a taylor in Seattle by Blue Owl just havn't followed up--he's in the international district and English isn't his first language so I didn't know how nuanced I could communicate with him. VHS collection and cats=bat shit crazy, I know. lol

Great fabric though, but you are indeed swimming in it ha.

Yes, I am. A little snug in Med, too roomy in larges. I like the 2 cats and the VHSs too, but I promise I wouldn't have either with out the skirt around.
What's a fair price in your head?

I like the new corduroy jacket they dropped via IG Thanks for the measurements on that, I think ill still stick with the XL though. I usually wear an undershirt with my button ups and my 3 sixteen flannel is 23 in the chest and a little snug. Now if I could only figure out if that sizing for L is across the board mostly. I tracked down one of the Western Oxfords with the warmer weather coming figured it might be a good deal for the price. I've seen a couple people post some pics of it but my main concern is the synthetic rayon mix, most of my tees that have it tend to pill pretty fast after a few washes.
