wow. thought itd be the exact opposite. will have to test it out. but you cant make me get rid of my low rises. I've just got a pair of Buzz Rickson USAAF 1942 chinos, which have a properly high rise and they're about the smartest, coolest casual trouser I have. I've got a pair of 30s Brakeman trousers on order from SJC - they use the same denim as Sugar Cane - which will be full-Weimar Berlin fit (12" front rise, 10.5" leg width) which I am really looking forward to getting. I'm interested in seeing fit pics.

X2 I spent an hour looking last night. May have seen it all but don't really know. Not a huge difference in price for the one item I compared. After shipping $50 less with Rakuten than buying direct.

I have no idea..... I am ABSOLUTELY ROASTED from a day of snorkeling. Honestly, it just hurts too much to try to put on/take off clothes, so I haven't even attempted to try it on yet

I am curious about the denim used because CHristophe has been using outside the norm denim this season. TBH i loved the Jcrew version the most

The denim is very tightly woven, and very dark... Like, VERY dark. I don't have any real wear on it though... Still beach weather in Okinawa

And it has finally arrived! My Saigon Cowboy "CDO Jacket". Beautiful piece, just as I expected. Well, rather... It's pretty right now; in time, the beauty will develop. Christophe's personal one looks GREAT! Fit pics will come, eventually..... No promises on a timeframe though

you better jump on 'em. MF's out of the 34 (and now the 36) so the Rakuten ones might be your last shot.

those things look great with some wear!
looking forward to hearing about your CDO - ordered that and the sportsman slacks tonight. will have them next week but can live vicariously through you in the meantime. i sized up (i think) on the CDO. figured i'd rather have that thing a little loose. is it as substantial as it looks?

I'm going to moisten it via a spray bottle, and wear it until dry tonight. AFTER a couple of days/weeks of doing that, I'll get some fit pics in.
Those trousers though..... iLIKE them a lot!

Sorry, I didn't reply to part of your comment:
It's about as thick as a wool Army blanket... It will NOT protect you from an arctic blast, but I think it would be warm enough as a winter coat, with sufficient base layers

hmmmm, I guess that's about what I was thinking it'd be good for...probably good to have sized up also to account for layers. just put it on and take a pic already.
