I'm going to have a free weekend in the LA area next month, thought I'd take a look at a few stores. Railcar and Mr. Freedom come to mind. Maybe one of the RRL stores. What else is unique and would be worthwhile?

Self Edge is right around the corner from Mr. Freedom and General Quarters is just another a block away... RRL Melrose is good.
Also, depending on which Sunday you're in town for the Rose Bowl Flea Market has lots of unique clothing. Rose Bowl flea is a vintage work work wear / military clothing mecca. They have tons of new stuff there too. I have bought more new items there than vintage actually. Indigo tees /henleys etc.

i haven't lived in the area for more than 10 years now, but one thing i always recommend is to visit the museum of jurassic technology. not clothing related of course, but an interesting, fairly unique, and cheap way to spend an hour or two. www.mjt.org
