@dirty - what do you mean a "member"? A participating member who gets friendly with the surroundings. I am pretty sure I remember someone getting stuff made for them but cant pin point if im talking out of my arse or not

I need a couple flannels so I've read thru this thread. I did find these on stp. www.sierratradingpost.com/moose-creek-brawny-plaid-shirt-9-oz-flannel-long-sleeve-for-men~p~5959w/ $18.00 with the current sale and 4.5 out of 5 with 35 reviews. Obviously not in the same class as IH but I am hard on flannels, working in the garage etc. Get oil or paint on them, no big deal. I guess if you only use it as a riding jacket $350 is okay. Is IH's main market Japan? The Japanese seem to have a different sensibility about image and brands. I would classify them as a luxury lifestyle brand. I'm not knocking them or those that buy from them. They seem to make the very best and have a loyal following.

Iron hear is one of three related brands. Triple works, free bee and iron heart. Iron heart is the heavy stuff, free bee is straight motorcycle wear, triple works is basically the SAMe as IH but lighter material

Iron hear is one of three related brands. Triple works, free bee and iron heart. Iron heart is the heavy stuff, free bee is straight motorcycle wear, triple works is basically the SAMe as IH but lighter material To take this a lil further here is what Giles explains about Triple Works or The works which is 3 brands This is an early explanation of how they do things 2009 i think Works Inc, which is effectively Haraki, owns 3 brand names. Iron Heart, Triple Works and FreeBee. Iron Heart is reserved for the super heavy/ultra tough stuff. Triple Works to date has been the brand that he sells lighter weight (normal to most jeans companies) garments. When I did my 13.5 oz collab (TWHR01), we branded it TW as it was a lighter weight and did not fit in with the rest of the IH portfolio. Having said that, Haraki designed the jeans with my input, and they are made with exactly the same attention to detail and signature touches that all Iron Heart jeans are made with.
Recently, Haraki licensed the name triple Works to a mate of his, this guy who owns TSS, the company that supplies Works with all their denim. Haraki does all of the design work, TSS supply the denim and are marketing the new Triple Works to a wider more mainstream audience than IH. The detailing is still second to none, the denim is still awesome, but in the main is a little more fashion orientated. And I have to say the Natural indigo, 100% organic cotton mens jeans in the new range are fantastic and extremely well priced for a natural indigo denim. What makes them special is that the denim is actaully rope dyed which is extremely rare for a natural denim.

A good price for a fairly thick flannel. As you said you need shirts that you can get trashed on without feeling bad.

Kinda weird. But I went to visit my friend at the mall that works at American Eagle. She showed me the new Heavyweight flannels. $49.95 but of course they always have 40% off sales. Fit was very good for me I was a large. Fabric is surprisingly nice I would out it at 8-9oz. The outer face is brushed and soft the inside is not brushed to the point where it is super soft like an iron heart.

I took a chance and bought two of these pwww.sierratradingpost.com/moose-creek-brawny-plaid-shirt-9-oz-flannel-long-sleeve-for-men~p~5959w/ The good - The colors are brighter than the pics. The weight is good and construction is good. Little shrinking on first wash. The bad- the cloth is not well brushed, not a soft fuzzy feel. Too much branding, buttons and a tag sewn into the hem. I have seen these in stores for $35 not worth that to me but at $17 they are a good work/lounge around the house shirt. I will buy more but not until one of these gets ruined.

I bought one of these On sale $106 shipped. Love it. A very well made shirt. I don't know the weight but its substantially heavier than the stated 9oz moose creek. UPS package weight was 2lbs in a plastic bag. The colors are bright and saturated. All seems are flat felled, the buttons are quality and eased on the back to allow for the thickness. It fits perfectly for me now so I'll end up hand washing and line drying. I'd buy another but they limit you to 1 per person. Down side, made in china.

@62scout, dude I am so pissed off at you right now. I'm not buying any new clothes until March, gave up on heavy flannels since all the IH on Rakuten is sold out and I refuse to pay Self Edge prices.
Then you come up with this?
You own me a beer.
Dammit.

I don't think I've ever had such a strong initial negative reaction to a web store by a big brand until this one. Loathe.

I don't think I've ever had such a strong initial negative reaction to a web store by a big brand until this one. Loathe. It's their "thing". Limited quantities and once it's gone it's done. Many of the items sell for more in the secondary market than from them. Well known for a buy it or FO attitude. This is the first item I've gotten but I'll buy again. It's that nice.

Oh I don't have a problem with their clothes, and the shirt you bought is cool, I'm just amazed at the level of hate I have for their web store from concept to execution. It is fast though, despite all the fancy stuff I'm hating on.
