So these are the G Blue17's (I recommend these to anyone looking for a cheep mid-heavy denim. $79) These are my best fitting upper block. They are my first 37" unite!!! pair. But I'm not sure how I like the slim almost skinny fit of the rest. What say you? To Skinny for a 47 year old?

Looks like a great fit to me.
And as far as fashion goes good fit is where it all starts.
Enjoy.

They look fine, I'd say if they're comfortable you're all good.

I think I'll send them out for a proper chain stitch and wear my traditional single cuff. I think that may be adding to why I think there a little small/slim looking. I'm not use to a rolled cuff.

As someone just barely on the other side of 50 I am also very sensitive to the too slim look, as there is nothing worse then the older man who looks like a teenager look. In fact I am debating on the slimness of a pair of free notes I just received. Maybe there should be some ratio or formula as to slimness x age..... With that said I think this those really look great. Now if you are rocking a fake tan, fake unkempt spiky hair and a too tight black t shirt with sneakers I'd say no way But as pictured I think you pull it off well Enjoy them

the fit looks fine. slim vs skinny are noticeably different, with the latter looking like they're painted on. jeans are similar to suits in that if it's too loose it looks frumpy and if it's too skinny it borders on anorexic hipster. slim is a good middle ground imo. the majority of my jeans are slim fit. I can't do skinny and i'm really not into the repro bell bottom look. being 44 myself I see no problem wearing slims.

Looks good. 43 and my wife has pretty much put the kibosh on anything much over a 7.5" cuff. She also wants everything hemmed, but isn't winning that fight.

Which cuts work depend entirely on body type. Some dudes look like they're wearing skinny jeans in standard 501s, some dudes can wear a skinny like a straight fit.

lol I must be the baby in the group at 29. I think the jeans fit great on ya, don't worry about the age x slim factor. If you can rock em, why not.

In the bigger scheme of things, isn't the relaxed and full cut fairly "new" as far as jeans and men's fashion goes?
Back on topic: those look nowhere near "skinny" or "tight" to me. I think they just look like a smart fitting pair of jeans.

I don't know that they're new but the baggier repro style seems to be in style among some of the denim peeps out there. I just can't get behind jeans that look like they're 3 sizes too big for my frame.
