I am Mechanical engineer work in IT company . My hobby is collecting watches , leatherwork and bodybuilding . I leave in apartment in Minnesota . All my leatherwork done from my apartment and shipped from Minnesota .
From childhood i had craze about watches and specially watches with leather straps . I like the smell of leather . As you keep wearing them it develops the aging effect on them . I like the way real leather product grows and give them patina effects.
I started thinking , how these handmade leather straps , wallets or iPhone cases can be made .this curiosity lead me to learn leather working . I like the way hand stitching done . Just think take a piece of leather , it is just leather . When it goes through lot of different process like cutting , skiving , dyeing , punching the holes and hand stitching . Out of that hand stitching is one of my favorite part . Once the final product , you see , it gives me amazing feeling . Man - i have achieved something .
I do really love the smell of leather . I feel leather products if they are finished nicely , they really gives nice , comfort and rich look . There are variety of leathers like cow hides , calf hides , horse hides , and goat skins. Each has it's own texture , feel and look .
When I started learning about leather works , I felt everything bit challenging like which tool should i use , which kind of leather and what are different processes it involved . But my target of doing something and learning something always kept me motivated. Saddle stitching is one which directed me toward this hobby . I learnt that first and once i did that , i though if i can do this , let us make something good . My first product is my Wallet . That wallet when i finished . man . there was not limit for my Joy .
My aim is to create a product that will last for generations. Hand stitched products last a long time for a reason. There is an art to it. I pride myself in sourcing some of the best materials available and offering them at affordable prices to customers. I love to interact with my customers and get their feedback and ideas for future products. Custom projects are also a fun part of my job. It is fun to have someone come to you with a rough sketch on a piece of paper and be able to deliver an end product that they're truly happy with.
Customers happiness and feedback about my product keep me motivated .
