I don't Always wear them But when I do I wear ________?
It's now 90 degrees out and I'll be working outside, so I'm in need of some good solid canvas tapered shorts. Enough with the baggy, flared, long, cargo ones I have. And I'm not waiting 3 months, I need them now and yes I'm breaking my "1 year no buy "

I was going to to say TS camp shorts, but I just checked to see if it was already out- its still in production, I guess being close to the storefront they sell samples out first.
Can't think of any other options at the moment, but if you can't find anything maybe Manny can sew something up for you in like 1-2 weeks.

Can't help you with shorts. I'm wearing cheap DC Skateboard shorts and it's highly unlikely i'll ever splurge on them since they'll only get worn a handful of times in the summer.

I don't Always wear them But when I do I wear ____cut-offs____?
Currently I rotate between 3 pairs of cut-off Army fatigues (Woodland, 3-color desert, and multicam), and some old Hollister chinos that I lobbed off below the knee.

My Short list:
1. Proof NY Nomad 9" shorts--Schoeller Dry Skin--Great for the heat and water and sweat (lots of companies use this fabric; Proof NY is on a long hiatus)
2. Bonobos Washed Chinos
I'm on the look out for a pair or two to round out my complete phase out of cargo shorts (except when I'm camping, of course!)
Was thinking maybe a chambray or linen blend, don't really know?

Save Khaki has a pretty good pair of chambray shorts. If the MiUSA thing matters.

DigDug , what size do you wear? I have a pair of edgevale canvas shorts that are just a little too small for me. Bought them on sale and it was no returns. I'd have to double check, but laid flat I think the waist is probably about 17.5". I don't think edgevale makes these exact shorts anymore. They're camel/ochre, I think 10 oz. canvas. I can get some pix if you're interested. Unfortunately, edgevale seems to be getting into the technical fabric game, which is OK, but it seems like there are a lot of folks in that market already. This short is 100% cotton duck.

nate001The TS shorts look good and have a 9" inseam. I think 8" is a bit to short for me. I actually have the tailor cutting my IH Chinos at 10".

I'm taking some chinos to the tailor today as well for a shorts transformation. Probably do a 10-11" inseam. The hipster 5-7" inseam on shorts is not working for me. I object to this trend.
