I thought it would be cool to have a thread dedicated to our personal projects - things we've made from scratch, heavy mods, etc. I know I've seen a bunch of posts on the topic around here, but maybe this could be a general spot for experience / insight / questions - you know, for legit Makers like @stevekas and stinky, as well as the Fakers, like me (and you).
Also, it seems a lot of us have similar taste in modifying our duds, so this could be a lot more valuable to us than, say, instructables or ehow.

Recently I've been inspired by Kapital's use of kakishibu and sumi ink to dye their garments - and i know some of y'all have gotten awesome results from using kakishibu. But what about sumi ink??? I'm thinking about dyeing some of my stuff a nice gray.. but I can't figure out where to buy, or how to use, "sumi ink" anywhere... Anyone have any insight, experience, or alternatives?
