Yeah, the brown Sashiko is likely what I'll end up with.

Those 707s look almost like a dead ringer to my Buzz Rickson Original spec chinos. I like the classic military cut to them, and comfort they provide. I wonder if they are the same weight twill? I've looked at a pair of the BR chinos in store, and the material looks and feels the same I don't believe the BRs are mercerized though, are they?

Hell, they might be then I paid like $83 bucks for the Original Spec pair through Rakuten, and for the money, would be hard pressed to find anything close in quality, and fabric, although, the fit is more old school, and nothing close to a slim cut. That said, every man needs a proper pair of comfortable chinos for chino and flannel Sundays watching football.

Seems everyone thinks the arms are to tight. the arms aren't really tight, it's the arm holes are high on the workshirts. it's strange that they still call them a workshirt. the westerns, jumpers, travelers, etc. are a much more comfortable/looser fit which is antithetical to a workshirt.

Even with sizing up, I'd say no.

Do you think layering a chambray under is doable? or a flower shirt? Maybe, with a Pansy shirt your arms are most likely small.

Do you think layering a chambray under is doable? Definitely. I always wear my ISC with a t-shirt and a flannel or a chambray. Same with my Utility Work Shirt. But the fit is slim for sure. If you have a bit of a belly, plan to wash it often or if you want to do "actual work" (not in an office) with it, well, you may want to size up. Double check the measurements and take in account a bit of shrinking, at least after the first wash.
