Hey bentin, it's going well. Same to you. Site is looking ok, we were just on the phone with out free for a month tech support person learning some semi basics. Guessing another week. I keep saying that. Everyone here says that about everything lol.... Thanks for asking and it's still in work, it's going to happen. I just need my real job to leave me alone for two or three days

@stevekas, I'm looking forward to the site as well. As you know I received my second belt from you a few weeks back and needless to say it's just as killer as the first one. Top notch quality man. I am 100% satisfied with both of my Marshdown belts.
So any plans to expand the line? Say...maybe wallets or card holders??

THANKS ickes! Glad you like it. On the site, yeah, we will be doing all sorts of product lines eventually. The plan is to offer both men's stuff and women's items. Wallets and cardholders will be up in the near term as will certain women's items. Plans are big, right now the reality is small but growing and we will absolutely be doing much more than just belts and likely more than just leather goods for that matter. Thanks for asking btw. Reminding me to get off my ass and get to work!

Mattbert, don't worry, it'll soften up when it done being broken in. Glad you like it! In all seriousness, mine stopped trying to kill me after a couple of weeks. The first week was mandatory soft, broken in jeans though.

I only had the sack to go for 1.75", man. I shudder to think what the BLACK LION would do to my poor hip bones. (For the record, I wore the 1.75" around most of the day today and it was totally fine.)

Mattbert, thanks for posting up a pic. Looks good on you man and those Ciano pants are pretty awesome! Glad your break in is going easy. I wore my prototype heavy belt with my newish Oni's for the first couple of days and I had this weird crimson/indigo chafe on my hip bones lol. A switch to broken in jeans for a couple days made life good. Now after a month the belt is perfect and thinner belts feel odd. I'm sure that will pass with summer coming and the lighter denims coming back into rotation though. For the record, no one has gone for the two inch....errrr....Black Lion. I'm going to make one just to check it out. It seems like one of the best bad ideas I've ever had.

@stevekas: I don't know if I'd classify the break-in as easy; the CF jeans are just a good match for that buh-whee-moth. I think the higher rise is a big help on them because the belt is sitting just above my hip bones instead on right on top of them.
The tricky spot is where the tag end of the belt overlaps the bit that's folded over to hold the buckle. At that point, you've got a triple stack of that leather. That's no joke, and coaxing it through the belt loop is...easier on some pants compared to others. The CFs take your massive girth without much protest, but some of my lighter weight Gustins can't handle it yet. Not without significant stress on the belt loop, which makes things feel awkward.
Good luck with the BLACK LION prototype. FWIW, I think I could *just about* party with a two-incher on the Cianos, but on the Gustins there'd be no chance until it was WELL broken in.

Yeah, I went back and forth about skiving down the thickness at the fold over but in the end the "no guts, no glory" mindset won over and it was full thickness all the way. I skived a sample section and it made the belt anticlimactic, heavy and cool but then just kind of ho hum at the buckle end. With that girth, the climax when putting the belt on was much better. This is going soooooo far off track guys...... I do think in the future we'll have two options, a more "gentlemanly" skived down version with the keeper installed and then the full monty, man up model with a skived keeper included on the side (like this round of orders). BTW hope you liked the new packaging. We moved away from shipping in Cigar boxes as it seemed kind of 2014 . OK sorry, that was uncalled for. Or maybe it wasn't....anyhow.....that and I did the math on cigar boxes, 20 cigars smoked per belt shipped. We'd have to open a cigar shop on the side to keep us in boxes. MY GF is giving me the "don't go there with the box joke" look....ok next topic. 2" Black Lion will be built. I'll post pics. If nothing else it will make a killer holster belt. Website is almost done. Taking pics of a few samples this weekend and we should be live soon. There will be a lot of categories with"coming soon" but it's time to get that sucker up and running.

Dude....m.a.s.k., I had so much m.a.s.k. shit, I loved those toys. You're the only one I've talked to that remembers or even knows what m.a.s.k. was/is. lol...that's awesome man. I believe there was a m.a.s.k. cartoon as well that I used to watch but I could be wrong.
