So I've been talking with a few people here for a while about doing a belt run with a "you call it" format. A few buckle options, Custom size, a few colors, burnished or "raw" edges, a few end styles, 1.5 or 1.75 width etc. I've been making and selling belts for a little while and have received good feedback for the stuff I've made so far . You guys have been pretty freaking awesome so I figured I'd go for it. Plus I just got my company hot stamp in (which will be placed in a discreet place on the inside of the belt) so I'm kind of stoked to get some new stuff out to people.
So keep an eye on this thread this week for pics etc. I'm getting some color swatches together and the buckles have started coming in. I might run payments for this thing through my Etsy shop or just through here, not sure. Either way it will be a simple Paypal deal.
Lead times will be based on buckles coming in to me etc but my suppliers are pretty fast, so I think a two week turnaround is pretty reasonable once we've firmed up the order and specs.
I'm thinking 40 bucks shipped USPS priority with tracking CONUS. International will be more (by a good chunk) so if anyone is interested out side of North America hit me up and I'll check shipping. In the past, USPS with no tracking was 30+ US dollars so it gets expensive. Just a fair warning.
I'm going to hold this to 10 belts to keep things simple. Hell, I'll be flattered if 10 people want belts to be honest.
Anyway, I'll get those pics up in the next day or so.

Do you have a machine so you could potentially stitch the outside of the belt? (as a premium option)

@stevekas I'd be up for a 2 in dark brown belt. I need something for my kilt.

I'll give one a shot at that price.
What kind of leathah do you use, and do we need to account for stretch when we give you our size?

Hey all, I just realized after having a friendly convo with another member here that there was some talk in the forums about member to member belt sales that predated my thread, which I put up this morning. Out of respect for a guy I think is a stand up dude and who has got some really neat things in the works, I'm going to wait a couple weeks to start taking any orders. In the mean time, check out the upcoming stuff from him and by all means cop a killer belt or two from him. I'll likely do that myself. In the mean time I'll answer basic questions in my thread but defer anything related to orders until a couple weeks have passed. Thanks!

Griff - I don't have a machine, my stitch is all hand done and a bit out of the range I wanted to offer here. Not saying no, just wasn't planning on it.
Jjbreitenbucher - a 2" will be an option.
Matt - I use back/shoulder leather. I buy full veg tan hides from a place in LA in the garment district and use the less stretchy section from the back for belts, cut my own straps. The belly sections are a bit fleshy and can stretch a bit more so they get used for other things. That being said, a piece of leather is still a natural material and variable so I always follow the "provide 5 holes and size for the 3rd" standard. I've never had one stretch beyond one hole (and even that that is rare) most do not stretch that much.

I'm going to run a small Marshdown belt deal for the crew here. I've got two belt options, both are 1.5 inch wide belts with beveled and burnished edges and finished with English point. I buy my own hides and cut my own straps. Specify your length per the diagram and by measuring your favorite belt. This is a custom belt made to your length specifications. Style 1 is burgundy belt with a matte silver buckle. Style 2 is black belt with a brass roller buckle. Both styles use Chicago screws (with thread locker) to allow swapping out the buckle if desired. Hit me up via PM if you're interested. Price is 40 dollars shipped CONUS via USPS Priority with Tracking. Can't do international at this time (sorry). It would be almost the cost of the belt without tracking. My return policy on this will be simple, if you open the package and don't like the belt it, send it back unworn and I'll refund your money + your return shipping cost. I'm going to try this with 5 belts total so the first 5 PM's/payments are in. Once 5 orders are in I'll get the belts out within two weeks. My paypal is kas912az AT gmail.com. I'd like to do this periodically here if this first round works out to the groups liking. I've got all sorts of cool stuff on hand but I wanted to start off with some solid, standard belts. Thanks! @stevekas: Handsome belts, brah...very nice...the custom feature is a biggy for me w/ belts. Simply, really WANT that centre hole to be spot-on length/location so that the belt is snug at the waist - just like the jeans/trousers.

highlights - Thank you brah! High praise from you, I've seen your work (amazing). I absolutely understand btw. I used to own a lot of belts with a hole between two of the factory placed holes.
stinky - Thanks for the kind words! some day, we need to do a collab! (Ya know...as a 44 year old I feel like I'm co opting a term from the kids there ha ha). We could call it StinkyMarsh.

You don't happen to have any different buckles on hand do you? that burgundy belt is gorgeous, but I like dressier buckles. although not tooo dressy... if not, I'll probably grab one from you anyway since I could switch the buckle out. that one's just a little too beefy for me.

robert - I do have some less beefy buckles coming in but not on hand at the moment. I'll set up one of the upcoming buys to use a thinner design if you'd like to wait and get exactly what you want.
all - down to the last belt on this one.

Griffin, I'll be working up shipping outside of the US on the next round. I'll find the best deal I can and at least offer the option. BTW, I just got some blue and red dye...so purple is well within capability.
Robert, you got it man, I'll be putting up my next run once the current one is shipped. Next run will likely be up next week some time.

Hey Robert, I did get those thinner buckles! I also picked up some 1.75" and 2" roller buckles for those kicking ass and taking names wide belt days. The first round of belts shipped out yesterday and I'm laying out the next run. If you guys are still interested I'll do this next run and maybe one more before I launch my website. Of course there will always be deals for the folks here via the website I'm trying to get the next run samples up late in the week of December 8th-12th. The format will be a bit different this time with a few buckle and color options within each style of belt. This requires a little creative sample making on my part which I'm working currently. I'm also trying to sort out international shipping so I'll post up the rates if anyone is interested. I'll review this thread from the top down and make sure options reflect what folks have expressed interest in. Thanks again for the encouragement!
