Can anyone tell me who makes this denim shirt: I've been casually looking for one that last couple of years, and haven't come across it. I would really like to find one now and am hoping that someone can identify the maker. Thanks!

If you want it in selvedge and to earn the fades, then you could definitely hit up Manny from Indigogene (on here as Jeanmaker) or Ciano Farmer (on here as...Ciano Farmer). If you're deadset on that one, try a Google image search for it.

They've got this chambray on sale with a somewhat similar looking wash (color wise), though not nearly as dramatic.

Or go RRL and pay Iron Heart prices for Made in China! If you can do westerns, this is actually pretty nice:

at the price of that last one, just send Manny a picture and have one made out of selvedge denim, or chambray, or whatever the hell you want, really.

I have some D&S shirts that I really like. Other than cheaper buttons similar quality to RRL. Much better value.

Sad part is, that RRL shirt is probably MIC and I'm convinced the same place as the D&S.

Thanks for the input, guys. I've had a feeling it was either a Denim and Supply or an RRL, but I haven't had any luck finding it.
I already have Gustin Cone 101 and Postal Herringbone work shirts, along with a couple chambrays (Imogene and Willie, and a vintage Levi's), but I kinda like the details on this shirt. Notice how it has the oversized black buttons, and it has 8 of them instead of the typical 6 or 7. I also like the flap pockets (which I currently don't have on any of my shirts), and it even seems to have a western style yoke, but it is kind of hard to tell due to the backpack straps.
I typically try to stay away from the pre-faded/distressed stuff, but I think this shirt looks very natural and tasteful. I think it would pair nicely with my Ciano Secret Denims. All the other denim/chambrays that I have look too refined to wear with the secrets, IMO.

The RRL seems to be a higher number of stitches per inch, and the fabrics of slightly higher quality, but I wouldn't be surprised to find they all come out of the same building with the more experienced people making the higher priced clothing. The brands seem to be too consistent to assume they farm the contracts out all over China, so I don't know if they follow the model typified by companies like Gap and Old Navy. One of the bigger bummers in this arena is Alex Mill, which is also near Iron Heart prices for Made in China. If I remember right this company was started by the son of the guy who runs J Crew, so the fits are solid, they've got a great eye for fabric, but they sew it all in China.

Thanks guys! I have talked with Manny about reproducing this shirt, and he said that he is interested in doing it, wash and all. I just need to decide on a fabric. I have received a number of fabric samples from Pacific Blue, and I am thinking that it would look best in a broken twill, and am leaning on this one: pacificbluedenims.com/index.php?p=vprd&tid=1775It is a 14.75oz broken weave. I am a little worried that the weight is a little heavy, but it doesn't feel as stiff as my Cone 101 workshirt, so I think it will be fine. I'm not set on this fabric though, so I will keep looking. In the meantime, I've purchased a couple shirts off eBay to hold me over. This one is a Denim and Supply: And, this one is Lucky Brand: Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you want to look at it), I'm not sure that I am going to go through with the custom shirt from Manny. While neither of the shirts that I bought are an exact match, between the two I feel that I am well covered in the pre-distressed department, and getting another feels unnecessary. I may still have Manny do the shirt in the raw state, as I think a broken twill will look nice over time.

Another option with the heavier fabric would be to size it as an overshirt, or style it more as a CPO. But if you do the custom shirt, I say leave it raw rather than beat it to a light wash. If you do the over-shirt, you can also wear it with that denim and supply shirt, which would look pretty killer, in my opinion. Nice pickup on that D&S, by the way, it looks really nice. I'd love to see that thing raw (assuming the crosses aren't printed on), but that's not how the cookie crumbles.

Also, the crosses in the D&S shirt are separate threads.
