Like I said the sale will get better as time passes. Only a few days ago it started at 30% plus 15% off & now its is 40% off plue 15% extra. More items have been added so start paying attention if you have your eye on anything www.ralphlauren/presale Dirty_DenimThere's a few things I'm watching. How does the sizing run with RRL? Most of their jeans/pants are vanity sized maybe 85% so a tagged 34 would measure 36 (18in) A shirt will also be a bit big. For instance a Large has a pit to pit of 23in and a XL has a 24 or 25 inches pit to pit

I love poaching stuff from the sale page and so far I have been really happy with everything I've purchased. I have a western shirt (snaps...oh baby...I love snaps), a henley and a sweater. I'm on a "no buy for 90 days" anti binge right now though so no soup for me .....Unless I get drunk and go trolling on Rakuten late at night.... Right now on the RRL sale page they are showing an "additional 40% off" on sale items. Does that happen in the shopping cart at payment or is it already in the price as marked on the sale page? Either way, good deals to be had but if another cut in price gets made at checkout, you might want to get that Henley, Marc

RRL releases different story lines with some very recent releases. The recent releases will not get the extra 40% off. Eventually they will be knocked down to the 75% off but it happens over the course of the year.

Ordered my first RRL shirt, I guess it'll be here next week or so. Off the clearance rack, but maybe it'll give me an idea of what Dirty_Denim is always on about. Sort of wished they had had this one in my size, though.

Sort of wished they had had this one in my size, though. RRL is hit or miss with some of their stuff. Some items are so over priced but even worse mediocre in quality, some are aesthetically amazing and some are down low gems. The Buffalo Western is likely a gem. It looks like something you say is noce but when u get it you love it so much it become a everyday jacket.

just out of personal interest: what does the first R in RRL stand for? I always joked it stood for Rolo Ralph Lauren, but if I'm not mistaken, one R is Ralph, the other R is Ricky (his wife's name).

Figured it was the Ranch, and then: RRL (pronounced, “Double RL”) was conceived in May of 1993 as a top-of-the-line homage to the Old American West and early 1900s workwear. The sub-brand takes it’s name from a ranch that is conveniently of the same name in Colorado and Lauren owns. As the idea behind this new line progressed, Lauren, along with the assistance of four other individuals (one of whom is was none other than owner of Jean Shop, Eric Goldstein) worked tirelessly to develop this exciting new component of the Ralph Lauren company.

thomasss I grabbed them for $80 if I remember right. I am a huge fan of Espadrilles and have a good amount of them from all brands. Soludos is one of my favorite and they happen to have 3 different denim versions on sale atm. SOLUDOS DENIM ESPADRILLES

My favorite all time sweater is a RRL hooded zip up Cowichan style that I got for $40 marked down from $400!!!
My current 2nd is a Moto 1/2 zip that rivals the Dehen for quality (I'm assuming this cause I haven't handled a Dehen) for 1/3 the price.
Only downside to this brand is when they plaster logos and crap all over their stuff. I tend to go for the plain ones.

Double RL workshirt showed today. Lovely fabric (I'll try to get you fiends some pictures of it tomorrow), I didn't realize it was a herringbone weave until I got it in my grubby mitts, so that was kind of a nice surprise. The not so nice surprise was the Made in China on the tag, which I guess I should have done more research, but I'd be pissed if I hadn't gotten it for 2/3rds off of retail. The fit is actually pretty nice, the neck-hole is pretty small for a large, but I can still get the buttons done (has the throat strap) without choking to death... I won't be running this guy through the drier though, at least until I get rid of some of the lazy-fat.
It's the rail-man workshirt in cornflower, stupid flash site won't give me a link.

I've put a little more attention to the details on the shirt, and I was uncomfortable with the impression I left here. Since I know it's of concern to this group, placket is perfectly aligned, yoke is not, but it doesn't tend to be in this style of yoke (again, pictures soon if anyone wants). The things I wanted to mention are things like reinforcements on the inside of the shirt for the pocket corners, the stitching (need to give it a count, but stitches per inch appear to be twice that of Gustin and Taylor stitch workshirts, about 1/3rd more than the other casual shirts I have), the dual runs of stitches are about 3/16th inch apart as opposed to the 1/4th inch of the others, buttons seem great. All good stuff. Chinese or no.

I know it's not RRL, and Denim and Supply is the lowest of the low when it comes to big ol' Ralph Lauren (and may the admins strike me down if I must create a different thread to discuss such riff-raff), but I just ordered this guy. I think the fabric looks really interesting (think it's similar to what some of the designers are describing as gauze) and I like the pattern -- plus, it doesn't have a button down collar so I don't have to secretly hate it. Indigo dyed so I should get some sick fadez, brahs. oh, and that label is likely coming off the pocket once I've determined it fits. They're continuing 20% off (for up to 75%) on clearance/sale items through 1/20. Stuff isn't going quite as fast as it is over at jcrew (fyi, if you wear their small or extra small, head over to jcrew.com).

Still some good things on sale. Got these in the other day. The worn effect isn't as pronounced IRL. They came in way big, stupid vanity sizes, so hot soaked and hot dry. Close to fitting now, so to the seamstress next. Very saturated indigo. My plan is to wash as little as possible and see what happens. Just ordered this shirt tonight. 75 ish shipped.

I got that shirt. Lighter in weight and color than the pics showed. My interpretation was off. Nice shirt. Just not what I had hoped.

RRL Western Shirt I bought on sale last fall. Size is large, I wear a slim/large Jcrew Ludlow dress shirt for comparison. Bonus Gustin American Sixteeners in the pic.....
