Beer Trading

I usually won't pass up an opportunity to promote my buddy's distillery.  While in Tennessee, if you find yourself near Pembroke, KY, I recommend stopping by MB Roland Distillery (short drive from whatever interstate that is up there.  They even got a sign on the highway as a local attraction or something).  The owner is a buddy from way back in Elementary School.  I don't drink so I can't say whether or not the stuff is good personally, but you can stop by and get a few free tastings.  They opened in 2009 and it is a relatively small operation so aged stuff is sometimes not in stock.  Anyhoo, whatever.  Try it...or not.

Every time I would stop by the distillery, dude would talk my ear off about whiskey.  It was fun to learn and see someone passionate about what they are making.  I haven't been there for four years now, so I am not sure who you actually see when you go there.  Back in the day, it was just him and his wife still had to keep her day job to pay the bills.  Last time I went, she had quit her job and they had employees.  Now I see they have 14 employees.  Still growing.
