Placing here since there is no 'general denim' board across all brands. I need to get a pair of lightweight denim for summer. Everything I currently have is 15oz and up. I'm thinking of something in the 11-12 range, but am open to heavier suggestions if it's an open weave or notably interesting fabric.
Suggest away.

RgT 11oz got me through last summer. Wore them a few times over 100°, they were good. Not fast faders, should that be a concern.
Debated the JB 10oz Zimabwe 0408's, they're certainly cheaper with the current Fx, but I don't think they're selvedge.

I really like the G super lights. I also bet the linen blend is damn good too.

I'll be wearing my light and airy pair of Grey Silks.

I'll be wearing my light and airy pair of Grey Silks. ick. Y'all hate us 'cause you ain't us. But on the real, summer is all about Bonobos summerweight chinos and Jcrew Stanton shorts, and boat shoes/sneakers. I may wear denim at work, but if I have to be out for any period of time, it's going to be chinos or shorts.

Light weight but they do looks like girly polyester jeans back in the mid 80's.... at least in my wife's eyes. Not disagreeing with her...

I'll have to look into the Bonbos as I have some JC**W lightweight chinos that I love. Quoddys FTW.

the only lightweight denim I own are G's Cone Superlights which are 10oz -- I incorrectly assumed they were 11oz. but, these were a grab bag purchase and the description lists them as a tighter weave.
N&F probably has a few lightweight options available

Tight weaves are certainly warmer. My Okayama Standards wear much warmer than my 22oz Oni. You can see light through the Oni, but the Oki are like a blackout curtain. The RgT are a fairly loose weave and stretch like mad, buy down a size.
