You guys are the best. Even Roman with all he has going on takes the time to write. You sometimes don't realize what you got until the shit hits the fan. I appreciate all the kind words and wishes here - and the PM's from you guys. I'll make it my resolution to try and be less grumpy in 2015. Try. Scott PS - I'm still going through PM's, so if I haven't replied yet, know I'm not ignoring you. I want to reply when I've got more time to spend here.don't tone down the grumpiness too much or i'll have even fewer people to relate to.

Well, fellas, they finally came! My pair of 17 oz Slub and 18.5 Kuroki! Let me just say up front that Roman and his team are straight artists with denim! The double chain-stitched hem? How cool is that! And the leather patch has a thickness to it that feels substantial. And the triple stitch inseam? So fly! And as much as I like the slub denim, the 18.5 Kuroki is just a beautiful piece of denim. Seriously- the whiteness of the warp shows through so well! I prefer bigger butt pockets than these, but the canvas lining is super heavy nonetheless! I'll echo what's already been said around here: you guys should be pumped to be receiving your garb, because it's just plain, good selvedge denim! The only problem is they don't fit me. I made the mistake of believing the slim straight had accurate sizing to Gustin's slim straight, and so these fit like skinnys. But that's not Lawless' fault, that's totally on me! Again, be pumped! nice! that's too bad about the fit. were these from KS? details sound great. will you be able to wear them? i may have the same issue as i went with the slim straight for one of my pairs as well (appeared larger in the thigh, with more of a knee to cuff taper than G's according to the KS fit guide).

Can you give more detail on the sizing? You are saying the the slim straight are close to Gustin's skinny measurement? What size chart did you order these from? Can you post up the measured dimensions and some pics? What are you going to do with them being they don't fit? This worries me as I don't want skinny jeans. I do like Gustin's slim fit. Yeah, Winterland. Give me a few hours before the pics, but I can give you measurements! These were ordered about 7 weeks ago, so I assume they were ordered on the old size chart. But yes, they do fit like skinnys as opposed to Gustin's slim fit. My size 29s fit like as follows: cuff: 12'' knees: 14" waist: 28.5" Like I said earlier though, this is totally my fault for not paying attention to the fit guide as much as I should have! Are they wearable? Man I hope they work out for you

I think your experience is saving a bunch of our asses right now. Is there any way to salvage the situation? Can you try to stretch the ankles out? Maybe wear a few pairs of tubesocks under them around the house for a few days?

I've got a pair of 18.5oz Kuroki ins transit right now. USPS says they should be delivered tomorrow. I ordered by just telling Roman - 36" true waist, 30" actual inseam but make 'em 34s and straight fit like 501s. Can't wait to see what I get!

received my promo pair in the mail today (thanks roman !). 14oz Cone orange selvedge. i didn't ask for many specifics other than size with these (i think i even forgot to give Roman an inseam length...he must have pulled it from old emails or my KS order). They came stitched up in standard copper color thread, black/copper buttons, double chainstitch cuff, and hangman's noose patch. there are a few seams that aren't perfectly straight, but nothing glaring or detracting in any way. the fan stitching on the inside of the fly is great, as is the triple inseam stitch. the pockets are usable out of the bag (my G pockets are always silly tight). the front pockets are also really deep and the pocket bags are substantial. fully lined rear pockets and coin pockets are a nice touch. i think the rear pockets are a bit too small. i have a pretty small wallet and it almost pokes out of the top of the pocket. my phone pokes out of the rear pocket by at least 1/4". not a deal breaker by any means, but i'd prefer a slightly larger rear pocket. the fit is good, though not perfect. i wear a 31 slim in Gustin, which arrives quite snug initially and typically stretches just over 1" to a good fit. this lawless pair is a 32 in slim straight. the waist is just shy of spot on right out of the bag. they may stretch to be a bit larger than i'd like, but a belt will take care of that no problem. the calves are definitely snug...i've never worried about calf shrink before, but i'm a bit concerned with these (first time i ever wondered if i'd get calf stretch). My KS orders are one straight leg and one slim straight. i think it may be the first time i'll prefer a straight cut. it also is making me consider changing the pair i have on order from slim straight to straight. i'll sleep on that. i'll try to get some pics up tomorrow. lost too much light by the time they arrived for any worthwhile photos today.

The 18.5 Kurokis? I'm going to try like hell, because man that fabric is so steamin' sexy! Plus, it's soft. Honestly, the calves and the knees are what's tightest on the jeans. And they are hugging them calves and knees!

Maybe if you hiked 'em up Huck Finn / Flood style, your calves'd help stretch those suckers out. julian seems to have some experience stretching denim out.. at least in the waist, but he seems pretty resourceful and creative when it comes to stuff like this. Honestly.. if they just sit there, they're useless (well, aside from the fact that they're probably works of art, which you will confirm with pics tomorrow ).. Maybe borrow a few baseball bats from school and jam 'em in the legs overnight.. I'm guessing you coach wrestling at a school.

The baseball bats specifically- and no, I will not make any homerun puns about the quality of your idea.

the calves are definitely snug...i've never worried about calf shrink before, but i'm a bit concerned with these (first time i ever wondered if i'd get calf stretch). My KS orders are one straight leg and one slim straight. Whoa, is your real name Harvey Dent?

Like you, I'm thinking the LD straight might ultimately be a better fit for me through the lower leg

Along these lines...

Here's an album of photos for the 14oz Cone Orange ID you'll notice a few crooked stitches such as the vertical stitch in the center of the yoke. also the chainstitch isn't perfectly straight. neither of those are egregious enough for me to complain, but i know they're things that could be pointed out as flaws by many.

@david; the fit looks really good. I'm feeling confident about mine now as I sized up one from my G size and my G size fits the same as yours does. How do you feel about the rise? Looksva bit on the high side? ??

Yeah those look good. I don't think they look that slim but is reassuring my lanky ass is never going with a slim fit.
Getting me pumped for Lawless Xmas. Can't wait for the FedEx man to start delivering my presents.
