I just opened my box of tote bags. I really really wanted to like these, and really looked forward to them, and well, I'm not too crazy about them. They both came awkwardly flattened in a single box that I figure would be okay for one bag, but two bags would be tightly squished. Now there's creases on the leather parts, which I'm waiting for to go away. Also, I was sent the Selvedge Tote instead of the Premium Oiled Leather Tote, which was a bummer. The Selvedge Tote is kinda meh. The price is about how much it looks. Not like a pricier piece, and doesn't look like something I would gift to anybody. The Bull Denim Tote actually came as a Bull Canvas Tote, and it also kinda looks and feels meh as well. The prices of the totes are in line with what you'd probably spend on them, maybe even less. If I had to compare the two, I like the Selvedge Tote more. I was looking forward to gifting this as well, but I'm having second thoughts. I just sent an email regarding a replacement of the Selvedge Tote with the Premium Oiled Leather Tote. Hopefully that'll be as beautiful as I was hoping the Bull Canvas (?) Tote to be. These bags I'd probably gift to my employees, but not so much to either my girlfriend or mother. The Bull Canvas Tote might grow on me, but for now, I'm kind of disappointed with them. Email Roman and tell him that you are not happy with both of them and see what he can do for you.

Ok fellas here are some pics ...Thanks to the wife for standing outside in the cold, wind and rain to take these. I will say that I'm effing in love with these...exceeded my expectations. Those of you that like the slim straight fit, will be happy to know that the Lawless jeans are NOT big in the legs like the Gustins are. These fit IMHO like a slim straight SHOULD. I can't even begin to tell you all how effing happy I am with these...I'm at a loss for words right now. I will also note,... so that it's not a surprise when you get yours, the fly on the Lawless is not as long as on your G's LD 3 button G 4 button. Also the fly buttons are smaller than on the G's. I don't find this to be a problem as the proportions match. Personally I like it better, IMHO it makes the G fly look kinda sloppy. The thick leather tag is awesome. Don't laugh at me 'cause I missed one of my back belt loops, I was in a hurry, and I'm not used to having 2 belt loops back there. And I will take more detailed pics later It's ok if you drool all over them...they're waterproof With out further adieu, I give you my murdered out, 12.5 oz cone mills waxed black BADASS Jeans.... BADASS EFFING JEANS!!EDIT: Roman....YOU are the man! Thank you so much! I will spread the word any and every way I can...The jeans speak for themselves Gustin slim fit are as slim as I need. Not big in the legs to me. Can you give us detailed measurement? Waist, inseam, rise, cuff etc. Wondering if their slim straight is too slim.

Is it me or does the back rise look off on the jeans? It seems like the jeans go right up the butt crack..... that can't be comfortable...

See this will kind of be tough for anyone to believe what I say or feel about Lawless because I am a employee of the brand. I just want everyone to know I will always speak as a customer because I am one 1st. With that said They look exactly how they did on the campaign & the site. I mean what were u expecting from a denim tote or a bull denim bag? I am not doubting you arent liking them but you need to explain what you were hoping for out of a selvedge denim tote and a bull denim or canvas tote. This is a serious question as you pretty much said u wouldnt even want to gift them which means u believe they arent even valued at free for the persons (employees) getting them. Is it because they were packaged wrong & stuffed which made them not look presentable for the people u want to gift them too. I also confirmed you getting a swap of which ever bag you want to swap out It looks like both bags were wrong from what I'm reading, which gave whatever was in the box a serious deficit to overcome to make Dev happy. Dev these guys have been pretty responsive to addressing concerns from what I've heard and seen here, so I trust they'll make it right with you. With the look of their slim cut it seems like Lawless is putting together stuff that you'll like (from what I picked up over on the Gustin Community) at least as far as cuts/fits for jeans and truckers, so don't be too discouraged yet!

I think it could be body type. Good question though. Is the rise comfy on the butt? The specs show a higher rise than Gustin slim so it should be good.

Yes the rise looks a bit up the arse there. With my lard ass that would make for the case of the disappearing jeans

I ordered a 34 in slim straight in LD because they were the exact same measurements with the exception of the waist in my G size which is 33 slim.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! This is a public service announcement lol...Hey guys...concerning the back rise/butt crack deal LOL! That is an illusion, caused by camera angle, My wife is rather tall and was pointing the camera down from a standing position, and a short distance away, maybe 5-6 feet...fahgettaboutit! no worries, don't panic, and remain calm...Just an anomaly of the camera No, they are not comfy yet, they are coated with wax and very stiff at this point. OK here are some detailed measurements Waist 32.5 Inseam 34 front rise 9.75 back rise 14.25 Thigh 22 Knee (measured 15" down from crotch) 7.75 hem or cuff opening 7 Hope this info relieves any anxiety. Guys, I'm not here to poo poo on our friends at G, and these next statements are based solely on my personal feelings and preferences... I feel I must tell you that, These jeans are of a higher quality than my G's, that's even noticeable to a noob like myself. like the leather patch, the quality of the stitching(such as triple stitched inseam, double tacks at the fly, straight as an arrow chain stitching etc. it's just better, trust me on this) the pockets that I can put my hands in without a struggle, the rivets, and the fit overall is just better. If I...a meager and humble noob, can see the difference, those of you with extensive experience will undoubtedly see it. Now I don't know much about this hobby/love of mine yet, only 1 year, only 5 pair of G's 1 pair of Lawless and one pair of arizona JC Penneys selvedge under my belt, so I don't know how much weight this next observation carries...when I pull apart the fly on my G's the fly lays out flat horizontally...I can't do that with my Lawless...The Lawless lays out vertically. IMHO I believe this is due to the better construction, specifically, the bar tacks at the fly, In my noobness, I don't even know if it matters at all...just an observation. I really hate to say this...I'm not buying jeans from G anymore, I don't care what kind of awesome material they offer. With their prices going up, QC issues, and general disconnect, and with Lawless price point, custom options, quality, transparency and willingness to listen to us and what we want/need, even if Roman doesn't like our ideas, at least he'll tell you. I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to figure out, whats the better deal here. As you receive your Lawless orders, I think you'll feel the same as I do. That is all...we now return you to your regular programming, thanks for listening EDIT: @winterland ,The back rise is fine, if they were up my ass like it appears in the photo, I would definitely say something about it , as I said, camera angle/distance, you're right about body type...I don't have much of an ass, and possibly the stiffness of the wax coating could all have something to do with it...and if the G slim is good for you, then you might consider another fit for your Lawless...Although, that info may be incorrect, as only 2 of my 5 Gustin slims fit like a true slim, the other 3 fit more like a straight to me...I truly hope this info helps you out brother Concerning the belt buckle...I got it here ( americanbeltbuckles) they have something for everyone, quite the selection. American made too He actually has the old molds, you will see many that you remember from the 1970's. My moon face buckle, has on the back... c1978 Bergamot brass works. You see a lot of his stuff on e-pay, touted as vintage, or original. I have no affiliation with the stuff....I just dig it

Tell anyone wherever you want because it will last a few days only To clarify - I believe Roman said the 50% discount is off the standard price of the denim ($98), not $79 - which is still awesome. Did that change?

I'd say we are feeling it will be busy in the shop but ready for the action. That was a question we asked ourselves when I brought this to Roman. He is very confident the shop can handle this & has prepared for it
