Got my 18oz in today. 34W 31L Relaxed/Straight. Orange/brown thread, black/copper hardware, single chainstitch, red plaid wool liners, classic pockets. All measurements were pretty spot on, waist was maybe .5" smaller than 34" (wear a 33 straight in Gustin which is 33.5" so no issues) and the inseam came out at 32" (not a big deal). Really like the denim, heavy but soft as others have described, perfect winter jeans...not sure I'd go much heavier living in TX. Fit is good, 34 relaxed/straight fit like my Gustin 33 straights up top, but have a better taper down at the calf, which is perfect for me having muscular legs (slim is not an option). I really like the thread/hardware combo as they look a bit understated but not tonal, and match eachother well. The pocket bags go well with the winter jean theme, not sure what kind of durability they will have though. Construction looks pretty good, but I do have a minor issue that doesn't bother me (unless its something that could cause an issue down the road?) as well as a more problematic issue. Rivets on the right side have a lot of denim coming through, don't think this is a problem but have never seen it before, pic 4. The last 2 pics show what does worry me. The 2 pieces of fabric are not stitched together (other leg is fine). Seems this could spread up the leg if the chain stitch doesn't hold it off. Is this something I could fix/have fixed locally? Gonna shoot an email to LD and see what to do about it. I'm no photographer, but here is what I've got.

They already got back to me, and are sending me a return label to get it fixed. Was like that before even trying on.

Was it completely popped like that right out the gate? I would normally say they look great otherwise but that will & needs to 100% be fixed. I will make sure & in fact I contacted Roman for you.

In the pic of u showing the seam ripped , ur thumb us right ver what looks like a run of the fabric. Is that actually there or am i seeing things I don't know if run is what I'd call it. More of a slight crease with some light abrasions to the warp, there is a ring so to speak inside and out all the way around, I assume from running it through the machine during chain stitching. Didn't really notice it until you said something. Macro pics make it look a lot worse/pronounced than in person. Glad to hear your taken care of. Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll through in a card wallet for the trouble. Thanks Roman, no worries, you don't need to throw in a card wallet...if it gets fixed that's all I need. Won't be wearing these for another couple weeks around here anyways so its not a hassle for me.

Ok fellas here are some pics ...Thanks to the wife for standing outside in the cold, wind and rain to take these. I will say that I'm effing in love with these...exceeded my expectations. Those of you that like the slim straight fit, will be happy to know that the Lawless jeans are NOT big in the legs like the Gustins are. These fit IMHO like a slim straight SHOULD. I can't even begin to tell you all how effing happy I am with these...I'm at a loss for words right now. I will also note,... so that it's not a surprise when you get yours, the fly on the Lawless is not as long as on your G's LD 3 button G 4 button. Also the fly buttons are smaller than on the G's. I don't find this to be a problem as the proportions match. Personally I like it better, IMHO it makes the G fly look kinda sloppy. The thick leather tag is awesome. Don't laugh at me 'cause I missed one of my back belt loops, I was in a hurry, and I'm not used to having 2 belt loops back there. And I will take more detailed pics later It's ok if you drool all over them...they're waterproof With out further adieu, I give you my murdered out, 12.5 oz cone mills waxed black BADASS Jeans.... BADASS EFFING JEANS!!EDIT: Roman....YOU are the man! Thank you so much! I will spread the word any and every way I can...The jeans speak for themselves

I am speaking as a customer when I say this "HOMERUN" I am also glad to finally see a lighter fabric made. I feel like all i get to see is the damn 18oz denim.

The fabric looks amazing, I kinda want a jacket made out of it. I don't want to say I could never do the jeans, but I'd be debating on them every morning until I just wear something else. Regarding the fly, that'll be interesting. I always leave the bottom button buttoned on my Gustins, so I doubt I'd be missing it, but I would guess it's something to do with the rise, maybe a high rise is 4 where a medium or low is 3? What rise did you select? Actually, I'd be very curious to know what fit, rise, size (all the details) those are.

Actually, I'd be very curious to know what fit, rise, size (all the details) those are. exophobe ...honestly, I don't remember selecting a rise option, as I thought it was only an option for the womens jeans. I guess Roman/Laura decided the rise for me, based on the fact I told them I previously wore Levi 511 and Gustin slim straights. I chose the slim straight fit, 33 x 34 no cuff. FWIW, I'm 6' 1" and weigh 165. Also, i wear a 31 in gustin, Hope this info helps highlights, I was wrong about the "fan" stitching on the inside of the fly being on all the jeans, as these don't have that detail. Another observation...these have nice deep pockets, that I can actually put my hands in

I think what we have seen looks super clean out of Lawless. Derek G's look to be of the perfect variety & Clew's also look to be perfect minus the popped stitch at the hem. This is good news because we are talking about saving big & then getting aesthetically pleasing items we asked for. Usually you tend to save when your standards are lowered a tad whether it is in quality, style or fit. I still would like to see more including some shirts hit the forums but its looking good

Dirty I was embarrassed that these jeans left the lab with that failed stitch. I have 2 inspection station in place so I don't know how it happened. Everyone at the factory saw the post and I have add a 3rd inspection station so this never happens again.

Dirty I was embarrassed that these jeans left the lab with that failed stitch. I have 2 inspection station in place so I don't know how it happened. Everyone at the factory saw the post and I have add a 3rd inspection station so this never happens again. I am speaking as an outsider now & strip my Lawless patch. I think Kickstarter as good as it is can also be a pain in that there are set timelines. When it comes to making a garment from start to finish without a missed stitch, you have to take your time to asure a near perfect garment. ROY jeans just went way past his usual time to make his jeans but he likely ran into issues & said "ok it'll just take a bit longer" With Kickstarter you do not have that luxury. Being the researcher that I am, I have looked at some of the most successful Kickstarters & found even they got caught up in the stress of getting the product out faster than they are capable of. I am not saying you rushed but maybe you worked at a pace faster than you would want to. The backers are customers but also the pushers who question everything. I would never do that & here is a good example why In a basketball game. If a player gets fouled & goes to the foul line to shoot 2 foul shots. If he is home, what are the home fans doing? They are getting quiet so he can concentrate & hit the 2 shots. They are backers of him & do not want him to mess up so they can see their team win. Now on the other hand if that same player was at the foul line at the oipposing teams arena. What would the fans be doing then? Screaming & waving to prevent him from completing his task of making those free throws So If backers on Kickstarter found something they liked & backed it , why are they acting as if they want the company they backed to rush & miss that free throw Roman you are doing great & I am sure everything will work out great for all of us including you

I can see how it would've been missed, its completely unnoticeable unless you fold up the cuff. Otherwise looks as if it was sewn perfectly fine. Everything else looks great.

Thanx Dirty. I don't feel the pressure of meeting our kickstarter deadline. At this point the only reason we would not meet it is because some have yet the get back to us on their survey. I'm just very particular about what we make and the quality. I have spared no expensive on the right vintage equipment and the right team to make this happen. We operate at a price point that makes others look and say what's the catch. I don't use factory seconds or sweat shops to make our clothing. It's just hard work and a commitment to quality. If we ever are going to bring back the true american made product it must be affordable to all. Making the product expensive just because it's American made is crap. That's operating on greed. I have great respect for those making their own clothing and they deserve a fair price for there garments as long as the quality is there.

Good stuff guys. I prefer the extra belt loop in the back. Some smaller belts shift around with only one loop back there, so thats good to see.
Slim straights look better than most, but I'm still leaning towards the slim tapered.

I am on the verge of placing an order for the Slim Straights in a 35 but have a question.
The order form asks me to choose a rise but the size guide only lists one rise (10.25 for a 35 waist). Is the 10.25 the low, mid or high rise?
