Surprised that I couldn't find a thread for this.
Just wanted to vent. Grailed turned into a complete PoS ever since they made changes to the interface and added the 6% fee. It's poorly designed and not user-friendly like it was before the recent changes, and there's been an absolute flooding of the market ever since the announcement with people trying to get in before the fee took effect. I'm going to be using eBay more often now to sell, and only keep the items that were pre-fee solely on Grailed.

I have never bought on grailed and only became aware of it in the last 5 months or so.
Their UI blows and I never bothered to create an account.
EBAY sucks with their fees but at least as a seller you can move goods and as a buyer you can find them.

It wasn't difficult to scroll through brands. But now it's ridiculously sensitive, and the manual scroll is ridiculously inefficient. They effed it all up.

I can't even see where to add an item to My Items! you mean to sell or to favorite? To favorite when I'm on an item page. I see Purchase..., Make an Offer, Ask a Question, Want (the heart), and Add comment. Do you know? Edit: I did find Add to Fitting Room (heart) on the results page, so I can do it that way, but it's odd I can find Add to Fitting Room on the individual item page.

I completed my first purchase last night. It wasn't a bad experience overall. The offer/counter/messages UI was good. And there's a lot of Gustin, Samurai, and IH stuff available.

don't know if it's just me but their site doesn't seem to be optimized for smart phones. it's really buggy if I try to enter the site on my Android

For the app on an iPhone, double tap the picture of the item somewhat fast.

The buying portion of Grailed is fairly simple, but using the UI to filter by size/brand/type is a PitA. Also, Grailed became a great place for buyers, and a very sh*y place for sellers. The market has been oversaturated by people trying to get in before the fee, making it more difficult for sellers to make a sale. I'm not a millionaire, so I can't take these huge losses on brand new unworn items that buyers are expecting from sellers now.

I agree that the grailed UX leaves much to be desired...and the recent changes improved the look slight, but killed the filter mechanism. That said, you can't get too frustrated about sellers getting in before the fees (grailed even sent an email to users suggesting they do so), or at grailed for starting to charge (can't be free forever).

The fee is much too high for what they offer, imo. And now it seems that Grailed is more oversaturated than even eBay when it comes to a lot of the brands, with a much smaller audience of buyers.

so is eBay the better choice to sell at the moment? I haven't sold on eBay in years and was wondering if the fees aren't too bad for selling clothing?

anyone shopping on Grail ever have trouble communicating with someone after making a purchase? I bought 2 things from different sellers and I have already received the other one early last week.
This other seller won't even send me a tracking numnber or respond to any messages. Been waiting about 3 weeks and I know it doesn't take that long to ship from the midwest to me. Emailed the grailed support but feeling like I have to dispute my order since all am getting is radio silence.

Either way, you receive the same protection from PayPal.

Have you tried to use eBay for non-eBay purchases? ? Paypal protection for non eBay situations? It sucked a while back. Might be better now. eBay at least is pretty safe.

So I checked this person's sale history and he sold the shirt 3 months ago? Not sure if grailed or him did not pull down his listing. Or by chance the previous buyer returned it and he put it back for sale. Regardless, i filed a paypal dispute and will give him a week to respond before i escalate it so Paypal can refund me. Don't get how he can bump up his other items and not respond to my messages.
i'm all about good communication and transactions just like how your word is your bond.

He responded after seeing the paypal dispute and said things happened and he totally forgot about it. Told him once i get tracking and actually receive item that i would lift my dispute.

If you're selling, put it up everywhere. eBay, Grailed, forum BSTs. Possibly in reaction to grailed, Panjo also has an option for selling clothing: www.panjo.com/p/malefashion
