Damn, hope this is a UK only release, because otherwise it would be too tempting.

from the email sent out by IHUK for the solid UHF drops: "Due to the ever increasing price of Aspero cotton, it is getting more and more expensive to make shirts out of this fabric. We will likely release very few versions in 2017." So they are saying buy now as there will not be much later. How about a new line with reasonable cotton and prices to match?

They've been saying Aspero will become unavailable eventually for some time now(since the name of the cotton was revealed). H-san has tried other cottons, but only liked the characteristics of Aspero for UHF. Aspero is truly a unique cotton because of the wool like feel and incredible volume. At 12oz fabric it feels like 21oz. These are not common traits for cotton. This is why H-san has said that UHF will die when Aspero becomes unavailable.

fml...I don' think I'll be able to resist that burgundy solid UHF much longer. I'm trying to hold out till the CPO version comes next week but not sure I can do it.

Serious question.
As I watch these releases and find things that I like I wonder how difficult is it to get that tag off?
I don't wear any branding on my clothes as I just don't like the markings.
Thanks.

Seam-ripper..... Many guys do it. I've considered it on a few of my shirts and jackets, it just doesn't really bother me as much as I think it does I guess, because I never get around to doing it.

Thanks. Based on the idea of superior construction I thought it might be more difficult but at the end of the day I guess it's still just thread.

I predict a surplus of UHF's showing up on the used market -- $500 R@RE

I did see an IH denim shirt for sale recently on E-Bay, and the tag had been removed. My eyes went right to that spot, as it had a damaged look to it. No doubt someone could have done a better job removing it, but just saying.

IHSH-160 - Black or Olive Super-Tough Cotton Military Work Shirt
"Sounds pretty basic huh?
Well Haraki took Extra Long Staple (ELS) cotton from the Turpan region of China (think Sea Island Cotton quality), wove it into a pique fabic last used to make German military clothing and created this shirt from it. The fabric is amazing, the shirt's OK too..... ;D"

I'm a fan of Aspero, but if the stuff is becoming supply deficient, you have to wonder why they released SO many different UHFs this year. I would rather see them limit them somewhat, with a more sustainable model then.

Yeah, reading the description of where Aspero comes from on the IHUK site, it doesn't seem like the most sustainable thing to make a lot of shirts out of.

I'd be curious to find where Aspero is used elsewhere. I'd never heard of it until IH brought it to my attention, and haven't seen it plugged anywhere else.

Think I might go black on this one but damn Olive looks good too. I need that olive... But, I'm gonna stay cool. If I'm gonna buy anything else this season, it won't be this. Or, so I'm trying to convince myself. So far, I've got an outfit worth of items waiting to be forwarded to me (MF cpo, Oni olive secret denim, and the INV-26). I need to stay cool and buy other people presents lol
