99 was fing great! No love for the 162!? To me there is a big difference between the over dyed 17oz vs a 12 oz twill. I do like the 162, but not enough to buy one. Huh, looked like the black was overdyed. Hmm. Yeah twill...boo. Thanks.

ickes, you end up getting a 163? Making sure an XL is on par with others. Looks like RB may be able to order one.

Emailed and received response Friday concerning confirmation of size and color, however, I need to sell off some stuff first. They also replied about getting a requested XL blue 130 in which is on the site now.

I'll likely relapse with some more IH OD.

Enough with the Ultra heavy, how about just some regular old heavy cotton flannel? (Not that I'm buying)

I was intrigued by solid color UHF's, but those don't work to my eyes.

Why so many Ultra Heavy? the TS 9oz is the sweet spot.

Why so many Ultra Heavy? the TS 9oz is the sweet spot. Because Aspero is getting too expensive. They won't be releasing very many UHFs next year due to the increase in cost.

Not sure I understand this. The current UHFs are Aspero, right? Why is aspero getting too expensive? Increased demand? Difficult growing conditions? Something else?

I do like that burgundy. Anyone care to take a shot at why that placket is all pulling? That looks super annoying to me, on the model and in the picture above.

It already is to begin with. IIRC it isn't farmed...grows in the wild on trees.

I remember Giles mentioning that he was raising prices due to the dollar's decline against the yen, because of his pricing in US dollars. I have noticed that in just the last couple of weeks or so, the dollar has been moving up against the yen, and the last UHF I bought would be about $15 bucks less if I had waited until today to buy it. I would hope that if the trend continues, then IH would then possibly lower prices for products made in the future with materials bought cheaper than today.

from the email sent out by IHUK for the solid UHF drops:
"Due to the ever increasing price of Aspero cotton, it is getting more and more expensive to make shirts out of this fabric. We will likely release very few versions in 2017."
