714 (sz-34)chinos in today from Joenet-Rakuten. Thanks again for looking out. Measurements spot on with IHUK chart. They're really nice; great all around weight, drape, and cut. Kick ass zipper (seriously, funk button flys on chinos); absence of wallet pocket button/flap (i.e., lack of inevitable atrophy); IH quality and attention to detail throughout with immaculate stout stitching, etc. Interesting insight you gain from these particularly compared to my numerous Gustins. No way would I spend $275 via IHUK, however, for a more accurate/reasonable $160ish, bring on more variants please. I would take any of my Gustins minus the button flys(!) for their price point versus IHUK pricing. No brainer for me. However, these are tough to beat at said price point. These with G fabric selection, oh my.
Edit: A size 35 would have been more pragmatic for me:) The seat/waste is pretty trim/fitted and pushing it as my ass isn't that big and I'm filling them out pre-wash (yes one washed) and may just get a 36. Just an FYI.

that silver pendant though...$250 is steep for that bad boy...the silver is worth about $15 on a good day, so who's buying it?

Jewelry is never priced relative to material cost, though it will often dictate the markup percentage. The simple answer to your question, though, is nobody here, from what I can tell.

True, but if I melted the Speedmaster down to liquid, people would think I was crazy. If I melted down the feather pendant, nobody would care.

I do understand the art of jewelry. I'm really just busting IH chops here...I recently myself bought a carved bone for $200, so I should talk. To me though, this isn't Iron Heart's area of expertise. I guess that's my main issue. Buy whatever the hell you want though - I don't care.

Sante Fe is full of overpriced silver and turquoise posing as Indian art. Mountain biking is great, as is the food and margaritas though. Many Japansese brands offer some strange items that don't seem to fit the brand, this just seems like one of those items. $250 in and of itself for a silver item isn't all that crazy. Nothing like a $350 shirt you can get straight from the manufacturer for $175. Nothing like that...

Apples and oranges. Hours needed to craft a watch by hand vs a piece of simple jewelry. Plus I couldn't see the iron heart stuff holding any value at all.

Ended up pulling on the IHSH-137 in Yellow/Blue off of RB, along with the IHTL-1213. Hit the 30,000 yen limit, and got 6,000 yen off. The USD is falling against the yen, which is kind of sad. But the 6,000 yen coupon + 1,700 Rakuten points helped make up for it. Basically got the thermal for close to free. The folks at IHUK really sold the Yellow/Blue in their photos.

Good stuff, probably could have sized up one more unless it isn't going to shrink. the 142 is a pretty shirt, though, I love the silverburst snaps. Definitely going to be a cold wash hang dry, in an xl it's a little bit roomier than the Gustin slim xl. worth the money? Probably, but I haven't yet decided. Certainly worth the nice fabric upcharge over a spendy Gustin shirt, though. At these prices it may be more attractive to me to work with Manny, but as an occasional splurge I think these are great. /me looks crossways at disheveled

exophobe, the 142 is great, but out of the over 20 IH shirts I own, the uhf stand out the most--in terms of differentiating themselves from their competitors. They give you a wow factor when you feel the cotton--soft, long fibers, looks like wool. They are a splurge worth every cent!

Yeah, I'm not terribly into buffalo checks or ombre patterns, so I'm looking forward to the crazies (which I think are UHF). Either way, I'm certain I'll have an Iron Heart flannel by the end of the year, I just don't see myself overhauling my wardrobe with them. I may have come off a tiny-bit ho-hum, but I have been wearing the 142 since I pulled it out of the box, and it's likely to become my summer "jacket", also (for what it's worth, it looks pretty killer with my <redacted> CPO cut indigo double cloth that Manny put together).

Red/Black, Blue/Cream, and Burgundy are my wants. If I get the Burgundy in CPO, I won't be getting the Grey in December (probably..not).

UHFs are nice for sure. But the 142s are different, and an amazing kind of different. A shirt or a light jacket. It's very versatile and perfect for the tweener weather when it's not too hot or cold. I haven't worn any of my UHFs or my TS Task Jacket in the past week, so the 142s have been putting in some work. Love the shirt.

So, you see the same magic that I talked about in the 716's! It's an amazing fabric; versatile, very much so.
That's why I'm so adamant that it's a shame if they don't make it in more colors.

You guys got any views on the 14oz jeans? I'd quite like them, but don't think I can justify them as well as my G Loomstates, which are a similar weight.
I also have G Sky Blues, about 10oz, so feel pretty covered in the lighter weight indigos.
I love the IH 21oz, but amn't sure if the 14oz is as special.

Honestly most of the IH jeans don't look very special to me in the pics, it's when you get them in person that you appreciate the fabrics for the most part. I've heard nothing but good things about the fabric so far.
